Well done everyone! congratulations!!!

I received a RFE, does anyone know if there is any way to find out what is needed rather than just by waiting for the post/mail? Its driving me nuts! There is no info as to what it is we need to send in the email :(

I'm first time poster... I also got an RFE via email alert today. I have no idea what they would need! Just curious...did the RFE turn out to be something trivial? Also, how long did it take for you to receive the letter after you got the initial email? Hope everything works out on your end!

Hi humkae sorry I havent been on here for a while, other commitments. It was something basic that we overlooked a piece of paperwork which we hadnt really thought about, easy enough to sort out. It took about 4 days I think to get the letter. I am sorry, the only way I think is to sit and wait.....thats the killer I am afraid. But as everyone has said to me, it shouldnt be too long after the RFE is sent in to get the NOA2.

March 7th - POE Newark, NY

March 30th - received SSN

April 25th - Married

April 27th - Changed name on SSN

AOS

May 12th - AOS paperwork sent

Aug 20th - Interview in Philly

Aug 21st - GC production ordered

Aug 24th - Welcome to the USA letter received

Aug 31st - Rec'd son's GC

Sept 2nd - Rec'd my GC ....all set for 2 years now

LIFTING CONDITIONS

June 20th sent I-751 to Vermont

June 25th received at Vermont.

June 27th NOA date

July 2nd Packet returned as section not filled in correctly---how stupid am I?!?!?

July 5th Packet sent back (overnight delivery) to USCIS with form filled in correctly

July 6th Packet received and signed for at Vermont

August 18th Biometrics Appointment in Philly........JULY 27TH EARLY BIOMETRICS DONE

Nearly 1 year later!!!
....received notification for my son to get biometrics done!(May 15th 2012)

May 11th 2012 Son's biometrics done early

June 2012 - Notice of lifting of conditions received

June 12th - texts- GC in production

June 13th - text- GC in post

June 15th - Received GC's!!!!!!

Just checking back in here with some more info: NVC received my file from VSC on 26-nov-2008. I just got the packet 3 from the Montreal Embassy this morning (8-dec-2008). From here on in I will probably be posting in the Canada-specific forum. Good luck on the next phase, everyone!

Even though we filed in late June, we have always considered ourselves July filers since it took almost a month to get our NOA1 in late July.

Today we got a nice Christmas gift from the Department of Homeland Security, our NOA2 approval!

Hang in there anyone else who should be close, there is activity in Vermont!
