Hello, fellow VJ members.

I finally received K1 visa last week and will enter the U.S. via LAX this week.

Do anyone know whether we can have 90 day work permit at LAX?

Thanks

Nao

What does it mean to "get a 90 day work permit".... do you get your work authorization there and then and not have to go to a USCIS office? And anyway, does anyone know how that works? Are you automatically allowed to work on a K1 or do you have to get paperwork?

JFK isn't the only one that issues the stamp. There's a thread that discusses this here. Hopefully it will help you with your question. :)

You can work on a K-1 if you get an EAD stamp upon entry. But that stamp expires when the K-1 authorized stay expires. Which is 90 days.

If you want to keep working past that 90 days, you need to be married, and have filed for AOS.

Not only have filed for AOS but have it approved which can take up to 90 days or more.
