Opening a bank account while AOS pending?

Not sure how it works in Texas, but my wife was able to easily get a Washington State ID card, after obtaining her Social Security card, and thus was easily able to both get her name on my bank account, and open one in her own name as well at another bank.

I do believe that a social security number is required for all banking.

I opened it at the: CHASE BANK

Should you not have a Tax ID or SSN or local government ID. Use the passport and a foreign credit card. Works just fine, you sign the W-2 and the system accepts it.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.
