Timeline

Hello, I'm a visajourney member and my fiance's interview is on June 16th, which I too will be going to the philippines to show my support and go with her to her interview. I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions with regards to your process during and after....

1) Did you go with your fiance (wife) to the embassy? If so, did they ask any questions prior to letting you both in?

2) How long did your fiance (wife) have to wait before receiving her Visa?

3) After your approval, did you go to the travel agency and purchase "one-way" tickets or had to purchase "round-trip"?

4) Which airlines did the both of you fly from Manila to US destination?

Again, i hope i'm not a pest, just that

Greetings!

1. You may go with her for support but then you wont be allowed in the interview process. you will just have to wait inside the waiting area

( watching the screen numbers change and which number is flashed and which both to go).

My wife asked me not to go with her during her interview that way when the embassy will ask fro more evidence/ documents etc.. from my side i can directly send it from the States to her. just in case1

note: you are a US Citizen you have all the right to enter in your Embassy.

2. 4 to 6 days if it is approved! some are put on administrative review for more than months.

3. If you go with her at the Embassy you will be amaze that travel agents have people distributing flyers as early as 5 am in the morning at the kiosk outsideUS Embassy. And also you will be surprise with rock bottm prices of tickets.... one way ticket is okay for a diancee visa....please note that hen purchasing two way ticket always remember to buy it directly from the airline office and not through travel agency otherwise asking for refund once in the states takes forever....on the other hand, why buy two way when she is going to settle in the states anyway?

4. cheapest from Manila is always NWA( Northwest Airlines) I only paid $ 525 via nwa manila-japan-ny-detroit route.

note: when purchasing a ticket ask the agent that you wanted it al along with taxes, otherwise it will create a little hassle if you will opt to pay at the airport... you will konw bec the price is P 1,620.oo pesos for this.

Goodluck!

correction: booth instead of both!

correction: so sorry for all the typos i made :

some lacks letters some have more...
