Can anyone tell me what the average cost of processing ir-1/CR-1 costs?

i'm just curious.

I just mean the actual paper work and stuff, no lawyers, not including the cost of visiting and such.

The initial I-130 application costs $355. Once the case if forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC), the petitioner must pay $70 for the Affidavit of Support paperwork and then a $400 IV Bill to take care of the actual visa fees. So total cost: $800.00. This of course does not include all the additional costs you will spend on obtaining certain documentation (if you don't already have it), shipping costs to the Service Centers and the final fee to have the visa shipped to the beneficiary. Uhm, I swear I can add, you total cost is $825 for the paperwork.

It may be different if you file from the USA, but for us here doing DCF for an IR-1, it was $355 for the I-130 and then $400 for the visa itself. On top of that there was lots of other costs of course (medical, getting police certs, getting house valued for assets etc etc)
