we have abe lincoln & george washington's bday. they were white.

Abraham Lincoln was rumored in the South to be a secret Negro ("Abraham Africanus the First")...

awesome. that's why he freed the slaves!

He didn't want to free the slaves. That wasn't even a consideration until much later into the civil war. Lincoln's main goal was to spank the bad southern states who dared to defy the (mostly powerless at the time) US government. Lincoln's victory brought many things aside from freedom for the slaves, including massive taxes, government intrusion into our lives, loss of state's rights, and many other things.

yea, most of them are low income workers who live in rural communities, or have ridiculous tattoos all over their bodies...

You mean like this guy?

I heard he got out and is working his way up the corporate ladder now.

Not.

hehe... no, no Gringo Trail for us (erm, staying on thread track with term Gringo!...LOL) We were in Huaraz and did a trek up to over 16,000ft in the Cordillera Blanco mountain range. We were also in Huanchaco for some days at the coast. Then in Lima for Fiesta Patrias....but missed the fountain overflowing with Pisco... booooo. Brought back a lot of alpaca knitted stuff...and REALLY cheap. With all I bought, I should have just brought back a whole alpaca. :P

I'm jealous! Wish I was there for all that. You're going to absolutely LOVE the alpaca stuff during the winter!

We actually went out up to your neck of the woods last night for some Korean BBQ... yummy!!! IT made the meal all the more memorable with so much rain coming down outside. I guess we were celebrating Korean "Pride" back from the days I studied martial arts...

The trip was super bueno... lotsa family, lotsa healthy food for a change, lotsa beach at the end...

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
