My case was approved on the same date as your....but i kept on calling them...yes you are right its really hard to get to alive operater...but you have to keep on trying...just keep calling them...thats what i did...and my was was into their system on May 17th, 2006...now just waiting for them to sent it off tp the Embassy...Just be patient...wish you all the best...

thank you all very very much for ur help! i know all of us go through the same mess.. i tried to call the NVC but it seems am no lucky at all.. what number do u press if its after the press 5 for a life operator? is it nr 2 for fiancees refrugees ect.? but then as well it says all the operators are busy.. ever.. i can not even type in my 10 nr anymore to see if its in the system.. dont know why... or do they have closed afternoon? thank you!

at least today i was lucky and i got somebody on the phone.. but, too sad... after now 19 days! nothing there.. i dont understand the world anymore... .. i had so much hope, after so many others, which where approved many days after us, got good news at the NVC, that ours was there too... no. why????? how come that CSC can send petitions which where approved many days after ours to the NC and ours not?? what can i do??? is it lost? am realy down now..

I wouldn`t worry to much, they kept telling me that they did not have our case. Eventually they said they had it on 11th May and said that they sent it to the London embassy on 12th May. Today i called the London embassy and they told me that they received it on the 12th May, so none of that makes sense. So hopefully they have received yours and sent it off.Good luck

Hang in there once it reaches NVC it will still be a few weeks after that before it reaches the embassy. Not much longer now!!!

You should be able to get through.

You'll need your Receipt Number.

IF they have your Petition, they'll ask some security questions before they answer you question whether or not they have your Petition.

They'll ask either about the Beneficiary or the Sponsor.

They'll also ask to confirm a telephone number, probably the number the Sponsor put on the Petition.

Don't forget to ask them for the Case Number. If you do like I did, you can call back; I had to do that.

On the other hand, there are those who never heard anything from the NVC and suddenly it was at the Embassy.

Don't feel too bad Goldie. Our NOA2 was approved on 3/16/06 and I have not heard a word since ! My lawyer says they are doing a security check and I won't hear anything until it clears. And on the Ankara Embassy website it clearly states that it takes 4-6 months to do the security check and there is nothing to expidite it. If I don't hear anything by the end of June my lawyer will apply for an extension because my NOA2 will expire on 7/16/06. I'm sure time frames will differ from embassy to embassy and my fiance is Muslim too, so that alone will hold up our process. Stay strong and keep the faith. At least you know your not alone here .

On the embassy website it says that usually security checks are complete before the visa interview, but sometimes it is necessary to conduct further security checks after the interview before the visa is given and that could "take up to 4-6 months".
