I applied for AOS, EAD and AP. I understand that as long as I get EAD, I am allowed to work in the US. But, it lasts only one year and I will need to extend it if I do not get a green card before EAD expires right? When I go to job interviews, do employer know that I can work for them more than one year? I know some people have no idea about EAD. I am kind of worried that if employers refuse me because they think that I can work only one year.

How did you explain to your employers when they asked you whether you were eligible to work in the US.

Please let me know.

Also, should I explain them that I am married USC and waiting for GC?

As you said: Some employers don't know what a EAD is and it will require an explanation of such. Best to try and find something you can print out explaining about the EAD.

Technically your AOS should be approved before your EAD expires, however, if it does not you will just have to renew your EAD. It's not a problem, just expensive.

You won't need to mention that you can only work for a year because you will be able to extend your EAD IF you don't have your GC by then.

Your answer to "are you eligible to work in the U.S.?" is YES. My husband had no problems with his, and I haven't read other people complain about this.

Don't offer information, if you're asked answer, otherwise you don't need to anything.
