Here in California cracking down on domestic use of marijuana really isn't a top priority anyways. An old friend of mine lives next door to a cop and his entire house reeks of pot. He smokes it in there all day. It's, as mentioned, the dealers and crime associated with it that they go after. We should heed lessons from Nevada and prostitution in terms of dealing with both that and this issue. That making it illegal makes more criminals, and offers little protection for people to be safe to do something that is no different than smoking or drinking, something that largely does not hurt others, and something that is worse off being illegal than legal, creating a black market for it.
