I'm the opposite except it is my bedroom. I've got to work on cleaning the closets a little better before my husband comes. Also, I have mounds of paperwork to sort through and credit card offers to destroy. I wish I would just file the paperwork away right when I'm done with it (or throw it away as need be) and shred the offers as they come in, but I don't. I always end up collecting them in piles for months and then spend a weekend sorting it all out.

Oh, I do that same stuff. then, i stuff it in boxes or the closet or under the beds, etc. Finally, I have to clean... so... I clean out closets first because then I can put away big items I took out and never returned like suitcases, etc... and then I can start to organize blanket piles and whatnot. That's why i do it like that. Even though my room still sucks bad, now it is 80% paper suck, which I will just start stacking into boxes and then take one box at a time and go through it until i have no more boxes. It's usually easier to look at one box in a sea of boxes than to try to organizine papers in a room where you can't find the floor and everything is like knee+ deep. What I wish, though, is that he would agree to go mattress shopping. He hates outr mattress, and I wouldn't mind getting a new one and then setting ours up on the futon frame for his sister. Our mattress isn't bad, it's just not what he likes.

Olivia-- that sucks. I feel for you and PB. seperations suck, voluntary seperations are frustrating at best, and feeling second (third or fourth) fiddle is the worst.

I don't have it in boxes here at my apartment, but right now it would fit in about two boxes so it isn't too bad. My big concern is the three boxes in my storage unit. I moved here late last year and cleared out a lot of unnessecary things, but when I saw those boxes I decided to just put them and storage and sort them out later. If I can finish up here at the apartment and move on to those boxes I could be done with it. The other problem is finding the time between work, regular house cleaning, shopping, cooking and talking to my husband for several hours a day. It feels like there is so little time :( Then again it doesn't help I hang out on here, but this is my one splurg and getaway, lol.

I agree, there is just not enough time in a day! Julianna is right though about watching tv but if it were me i think i would find myself stretched out on the couch watching the movie and using the box to put my drink on  lol

Julianna,

What did you use to mount the rug? I have a very small Navaho rug I would like to hang, but not box fame it. Any suggestions?

My rug has such a loose weave, I used headless nails and just tacked it to the wall. Now. There is a kind of clear plastic clamp which you can use to clamp the top edge of a rug and then nail through THAT and not the rug-- that may be what you want. If you do want to go the quickie way though, jsut be sure to put in enough nails that you aren't ripping the wall as well as pulling the weave with too little support. When I get done (or maybe before lol) I can take a pic if you'd like.

duh on me! I don;t know why I didn;t think of headless nails. The rug's weave is pretty tight but I think those small headless finishing nails won't tear the rug. It's a small rug (maybe 2.5 x 5 feet) so a few nails across the top should suffice.
