DCF via Montreal: packet 3 lost in the mail

My wife filed I-130 on my behalf via DCF. As we did not hear anything back from Montreal, we sent them an e-mail and they told us that the petition has been approved and the informational packet (packet 3) has been mailed to me 1 month ago. Since we did not receive the packet, I wrote back to Montreal and asked them to remail the packet. After 2 weeks they replied that they did. Now another month has passed since they re-mailed the packet but I still did not receive it. I tried e-mailing Montreal about the situation, but they do not seem to be responding to my e-mails anymore.

I called DOS customer service, which confirmed that they have the right mailing address on file.

At this point I am at a loss as to what to do. I am thinking of mailing in DS-230 Part I along with a letter of explanation as to why there is no checklist.

What is on the Montreal document checklist -- if someone has recently completed IR/CR-1 process via Montreal, I would appreciate if they could post the checklist so that I could re-create it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

PS: when I submit DS-230 part one I will also include 3-4 pre-paid express post mailers so that they could use those for further communication to avoid this mess.

WOW!

Sounds exactly like our situation. We are now waiting on our THIRD packet 3 from Montreal. We have asked ourselves the same questions you have asked the forum and are not sure what our next move should be.

Keep us updated if you have any success.

RECEIVED!!

I guess it took posting to VJ to get the packet in my mailbox, two months after the first packet was mailed.

Now, it time to complete the DS-230 and the checklist and then wait on Montreal again.

Any advice on expediting the process from this point?

Nope - just send in everything and the kitchen sink.

Get your police certificate, and all the cr@p you will need for interview. Do you have tax returns ready? If not, see if you need to file.

Send it via Xpress Post so you can see when it was received. Then give them a coupla of weeks and begin the harassing campaign over the phone. I used to phone every 10 days or so, back when the backlog was circa 9 months.
