Okay, I went shopping and bought some things. I can't send them until Monday as my preffered package place was closed when I got there. Here is what I got:

2 packs of diapers (Newborn and size 1)

2 Bottles (4 oz and 9 oz)

2 Binkies

2 Pacifiers (for when the baby is over 3 months)

Gift set with Baby shampoo, baby wash, baby lotion, Desitin Cream for diaper rash and safety swabs

1 regular warm baby blanket

4 recieving blankets

1 fitted crib sheet

4 burp cloths

I went a little crazy, but I swear I love to buy baby stuff. I knew you could use it all anyway.

Thank you so much. You guys are the only way I have gotten through this. I am really appreciative of everything. In the last couple of days I have had so much pain in my feet and hands and I have felt so much relief that the baby will have alot of the stuff he needs when he gets here. This has taken loads of stress off me, you have no idea. My husband finally made 2 more applications for jobs 2 days ago but still no work and no job

Express registered mail takes about 10 days from the USA, but regularly sent mail is iffy to Algeria. Some of my mail (letters not packages) arrived in 30 days, while others in 4 and 6 months. So Allahu allem! But I think Hanging in there lives in Florida not Algeria!

Not that I am asking, but if anyone can help me with a baby sling ... it would so greatly appreciated! None to be found here ... and trying to get someone to sew me one is difficult, even with pictures people seem to what to understand the picture LOL! But anything really is appreciated!

Ok, I just sent off two boxes today and this is what was in it:

A couple of crib sheets

3-4 small receiving blankets

3-4 small socks

6 (approx) newborn onesies

several footed zip up sleepers (3-6 mo)

about a dozen onesie outfits (3-9 mo)

a few overalls (3-12 mo)

some t-shirts and shorts (3-12 mo)

a pair of shoes

some disposable washing clothes

a few baby toys

*I tried to send a wide range of stuff and I'm pretty sure some of it's up to 12 mo.

My son was on formula for a year and the best deal for Similac was at Sam's Club. You really got more for your money. I also have only bought diapers there because you just get more for your money.

Target was also a good money saver for the bath wash that I still use on him. It's the Target brand of J&J's nighttime baby bath with lavendar. It's about $2 cheaper than the name brand and is the very same thing. Also, when he was eating the strained baby food, I found that Target typically had the best deal on the Gerbers baby food.

I really had to pinch my pennies for the couple of years that it was just my son and I, since we were surviving on just my income. Do you have Once Upon A Child in your area? That has been a great place to find second hand clothes. I'm REAL lucky that there is a local Methodist church here that has a GINORMOUS consignment sale twice a year for summer and winter clothes. I can usually get a whole season of clothes, including shoes, for about $100-$125. I would definitely check out some of the churches in your area to see if they do the same thing.

Hanging in there - I have some things I can send you if you will send me your address.

Henia - I bought a sling and I don't like it, and Ayman hates it. It is brand new. Send me your address and I will send it to you. It's one of those slings with the rings. It looks like this but it's black mesh.

Message for Hanging in There: Just a quick funny note, good thing you having your baby there. Well for many reasons obviously but one coming to mind right now is you will have to have a sab'aa! LOL! Lucky you no one to lay a napkin in your weak lap! LOL! Stupid tradition! I am not looking forward to this at all!
