EAD at POE is it only in JFK?

Can you get an EAD at any POE or is it exclusive for JFK?

If it is so, then it would make sense to travel to NY on a direct flight instead of taking connections in Houston, or any other POE, is that right?

JFK is the only POE that reportedly provides the stamp on a consistent basis. Sporadic reports of issuance from other POE's exist.

YMMV

If the EAD is stamped at the POE, then the beneficiary can work continously until the AOS?

Thank you.

No The temp EAD stamp is only valid for 90 days from the date of entry, after that you are not authorized to work again until you have been approved for the 1 year EAD that you file for at the same time as your AOS.

I don´t think it´s even worth working on a stamp EAD permit if then the holder cannot continue working once it has expired and he has to resume work until he gets approve the 1 year EAD. By the time the beneficiary finds a job, there may have passed at least 30 to 60 days. Just to discontinue until further notice. I guess the employer will not be too happy with this arrangements unless is an understanding boss.

I will soon find myself in this position. thanks for your help.

Many people will agree with you. Many employers will not find it difficult to hire someone with only 90 days authorization. All this sometimes frenzied discussion about this 90 day stamp for many people is much ado about nothing because few actually gain a significant benefit from it.

I agree with you. On the other hand, it is true I want to start providing to the house and my new family, I am also aware that I will need some time to get acclimatized to the very new experience. I think it makes more sense to request the AOS and use the waiting time to adapt to the new life stage. Looking for a job and work has its own appropriate time, but the priority at this time is the relationship and adjusting to the big change of marriage life.

Of course there are exceptions to this. I am currently working on my EAD that I got at JFK. I've been in the US for just over a month now and I got married a week ago. Hopefully there won't be much of a gap between when my K1 visa expires and when I get my 1 year EAD. But if there is any gap, my boss is understanding and I can just take some unpaid time off. I went through JFK especially to get an EAD and I'm very glad I did it that way

Good for you!

You must miss Holland, it´s such a beautiful country. I love the canals, the bicycle paths, the cows, ponies, landscape especially when you travel by train. English spoken everywhere, some Spanish too.
