Hi Guys.

Just thought I'd share some useless information with you. Well, I just couldn't wait any longer so I phoned the USCIS customer service to see if they could tell me absolutely anything about our case. I was on the phone for 45 minutes & 38 of those I was on hold! Thank God I have free calls to USA, phew!

Anyway, I was a bit confused because on the USCIS website it says our case was recieved on February 21st but according to my attorney (who has the I-797) the receipt date is February 16th. So I didn't know which one should I go by :huh: . But the lady at the USCIS said you should go by the one on the paper receipt (I-797).

I also wanted to know if there was any news about our case & she didn't know anything but said its been forwarded to California from Texas & said she was sure of this because of the first 3 letters of my receipt, which are WAC. Is this true? Is this not a Texas receipt number? Anyway, I changed my timeline to California. I was a bit peed off because I thought our attorney would have told us this but she doesn't seem to know much of anything, a few weeks ago she assured me that our petition was staying at Texas. I don't know :wacko:

Well, the one good thing is that we're 5 days more ahead than we thought we were now. But, I wish we were transfered to Vermont instead :P

02-11-2006 attorney sent I129f to TSC (package was then forwarded to CSC at some point)

02-16-2006 receipt date according to I797

02-21-2006 receipt date according to USCIS website

02-22-2006 notice date

05-31-2006 travelled to the US for 90 days

06-20-2006 called USCIS to update Charlie's (petitioner) address

08-09-2006 recieved packet 3. Do not know when we were approved as we were not told.

10-13-2006 sent packet 3 to embassy. Requested interview for February (at the earliest) as I need to finish

uni before I leave the UK

02-12-2007 interview date. But have to change the interview date again due to unforseen circumstances not

allowing me to travel to the States until September 2007. Boo hoo

04-10-2007 interview date! Yippee!!

04-17-2007 Passport arrived with visa! Sooooooo happy!!!!!!!!

03/27/06 Sent I-129F to TSC (Express Mail)

03/29/06 TSC received petition (forwarded to CSC)

04/05/06 NOA1 date from CSC

04/10/06 NOA1 received in mail

06/23/06 IMBRA RFE notice date

06/30/06 IMBRA RFE received and sent to CSC the same day

Ours was sent to CSC from TSC as well, our receipt also starts with WAC.

I don't suppose you know the phone number to CSC, do you? I just want to make sure its there seeing as I or my attorny don't have any written proof.

Yes, WAC is the CSC.

The public phone lines to the SCs were closed down when the NCSC was opened. That was the purpose for creating the NCSC, to relieve the SCs or the responsibility for dealing with the public so that they could concentrate on processing petitions and applications. Not that there aren't any phone lines, but the number(s) is not generally available.

If you have a 797 with case number WAC........Western App Center, it means that it was received at the CSC as they issue the number. There is no one to talk to there. They do not deal with the public. You have to go thru the 800 number in order to be misinformed.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

You may want to get your attorney do a scan on your NOA1 ( I-797) and email to you... Read the detail yourslef would be better... and see it for real on your NOA1 ( I-797)...

2006-05-11 - Interview Day!!!! - APPROVED!!!

2006-05-15 - Submitted my resignation from work

2006-05-17 - Got a call from Embassy, my visa issuance ON HOLD due to new law IMBRA, they are not able to issue my VISA!!!

2006-05-19 - Pick up my passport without VISA. No information as to when my VISA will be ready...

2006-05-22 - Embassy inform that our case has sent back to NVC via FedEx

2006-06-24 - Last day of my job after serving 1 month notice. (Manage to extend my last work day to 6/24)

~~~ Still don't know what they need from us...

2006-06-25 - USC's finace fly to Malaysia...
