Your timeline shows e-filing for EAD a few days BEFORE filing for AOS. Did you file for EAD based on K-1 or did you file based on a pending I-485?

K-1 should only file for EAD at the same time as AOS by filing form I-765 is same envelope as AOS or after filiing AOS and attach a copy of I-485 receipt letter (NOA1). This is EAD based on a pending I-485 CODE (C )(9 )

K-1 should not apply for EAD using (A )(6 ) based on their K-1 visa, this costs $340 and typically is denied due to EAD processing usually completing AFTER I-94 expires. K-1 EAD is the same "TEMP" 90 day EAD that some POE stamp on the I-94 card, and K-1 EAD expires 90 days after entry.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hello YuAndDan,

Thank you very much for the reply.

My husband and i had an exchanged ideas before we filed EAD and AOS...i filled up i-765 and i-485 forms and print it and sent them together to USCIS but before that my husband did e-filling, we applied ©(9)...and we also mailed the copy to the said address in the form of the application for EAD with my signature including the confirmation receipt.

We will find out what is the cause of denial EAD when i got the letter....And wish there will be no problem for my AOS because they mailed too the document for i-485 on the same date of Denial EAD letter.

Things will work out for you! Just Wait for the letter and follow what you need to do... it will slow the application a bit but it doesn't matter as long as you can have EAD! Goodluck!

if you file EAD under a(9), then you should pay 340.00dollars (did you?). but if it is filed together with AOS, it's free...so no problem
