What is RFE trick?

Can anyone explain to me what is RFE trick? how do you contact USCIS using that trick? What option do you pick when you call USCIS? And what if you really dont RFE?

Yes, if you are calling about an RFE that you returned, the number is on the RFE letter.

Your petition is only 3 months old it is probably in a queue waiting it's turn for an adjudicator, USCIS can take up to 6 months or even longer to approve they wont have anything to tell you other than what the case status website tells you.

Rarely and I mean RARELY will you get anything out of calling that you couldn't have guessed or found out here just asking about the process. More likely you will get either nothing, a rude officer, or information that directly conflicts with what you've been told previously. (Thus creating more calls to get yet more misinformation from people who read what you told us you were told and are now just as confused or nervous that something is wrong.)

There is simply no reason to call unless you have something to correct and even then trying to get them to listen is a chore.

The "RFE Trick" is what people call when they call the 1-800 customer service number and when the prompt asks if this call is in reference to a Request For Evidence (RFE) then press this number. The call is then transferred to the Service Center where the case is being processed.

But USCIS knows of this "Trick" and like the above posters stated, they will not give you information unless it is a legitimate RFE request. Don't waste your time. USCIS is smarter than people give them credit for.
