My fiance will be interviewing in Vancouver for a K1 visa. I've been collecting the financial verification stuff that we'll need and just got the letter from my primary job. It says that I am a full-time employee and gives my hourly rate. Is that ok or do I need to ask her to put my yearly income?

Also in the spot where you would have the recipient's address she put "U.S Consulate Vancouver, British Columbia" but it's directly addressed to "HR representative"...I don't think that will be a problem, but is there someone better to address it to? Apparently it's corporate policy that she can NOT address it "To whom it may concern", it has to be an actual entity/person/etc.

Thanks in advance! :)

I don't know if you have the letter already made up or not. My husband just wrote up his letter and had his supervisor sign it. What's important is that it's on company letterhead. The US Consulate address is okay...didn't know they had HR respresentatives though..that's weird! Hourly wage should be fine I guess. How long have you worked there? Maybe it should state that. Usually they would put what your yearly salary is, but if you're paid by the hour, they're going to say they don't know what your yearly salary is I guess.

I think it's just basic confirmation that you work there, and how much you make. Your other financial information showing tax return stuff is the important financial information.

Employment letter is a supporting doc to the I-134, as long as you provide evidence that you make enough to support, like (IRS Transcripts, or return (1040/W2/1099) and perhaps copies of a few recent pay-stubs) then you should be fine.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Yup...it's on company letterhead and does state when I was hired. I thought it would be ok, but I wanted to make sure! I'm not borderline, so I don't think they'll be too picky about it...I have my 1040s and W2s for the last three years put together to send to the interview, so they'll be able to see my yearly income easily. Hopefully this is just confirmation that I STILL work there. I've started collecting all my paystubs, so we'll have everything between now and then. I'm really hoping we get our interview by the end of September. :)

Thanks for the help everyone! :star:
