Good Morning,

I'm the USC, my hubby is from Jamaica (so am I), but I have my citizenship. He had several interviews and received a job offer, but because the facility is ran by a government contractor he has to have his greencard in hand before he can start. It's okay though, the position he applied for doesn't start until Jaunary, so I'm praying we get it by then. So, right now he's working a few hours a day with UPS seasonal helper. It's something to keep him busy.

08/12/08 - Mailed application to CSC (I-485/I-765/I-130)

08/14/08 - CSC received application (confirmed via online signature)

08/21/08 - Notice date by USCIS

08/25/08 - Received NOA1

08/29/08 - Notice of Rejection of 797C Fee (Sent in extra money - money order mailed back.)

Fee waived for I-765 application when filed concurrently with I-130 and I-485.

08/30/08 - Biometrics Apt Notice received

09/13/08 - Biometrics completed and picture taken

11/05/08 - EAD card production ordered

11/07/08 - Received I-485 Interview letter

11/10/08 - EAD card production ordered (again)

11/13/08 - EAD approval notice sent

11/14/08 - EAD arrived in the mail

11/21/08 - I-130 touched and I-485 finally shows up online

12/08/08 - Interview for GC - RFE requested :-(

01/02/09 - Response from RFE received (Form G-56/Call-in Notice Appointment)

01/16/09 - Second Appointment to review application -- APPROVED! :-))) YAY!!!

01/16/09 - AOS card production ordered - E-mail from CRIS

01/24/09 - Received Welcome to the United States letter and approval notice for I-130

Thanks guys :D I'm not really that frustrated - I think I was moreso when I was expecting it to turn up sooner! Now I have kinda got into a routine of checking my e-mails, hanging out on facebook and then spending about eight hours developing my business I want to start up when I get a chance (that is money to invest in materials and get my website up and running online!) I don't know how I am going to find time to work when I get my EAD :lol:

It's been kinda neat though - I intended to work on my jewelry a lot when I got here and I haven't been motivated at all - now I am and it is really exciting - I keep doing funky things like working out how much I need to sell things for and how much I need to insure things for when I am shipping them - I have spreadsheets set up for accounts, excel formulae coming out of my ears... in fact I feel quite clever!!! :lol:

Thanks! I'm just making the website with Yahoo! Pagebuilder - it's soooo easy to use and is versatile enough for my needs right now - of course, I might need to stick a few HTML pages in there to do some of the more fancy things, but for right now it is just getting things down like shipping and return policies, testimonials, introductions, gallery etc. :) It's not really *booming* yet but it's certainly keeping me occupied!!!

Any updates from anyone else? I'm still non-existent but found that putting in the same case number but ending in 45 brings up the AOS for someone who filed on August 27th :lol:

The USCIS website says production has been ordered on the EAD card. I'm very very happy. My poor husband is sooooo ready to head out to work.

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On November 13, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Received on July 25th at NSC

Check cashed by CSC on Aug 3rd

NOA1 mailed from CSC on Aug 2nd (Notice Date on form is Aug 1st)

Touched on Sept.14...(due to me contacting CSC about the "jr." following his name...

Touched on Sept.19...again due to call to CSC about typo on NOA1..

Going to Manila Nov 1st for work...Get to spend 2 fantastic months with my baby!

With any luck, I will get my NOA2 when I get home in January!

I am quite happy for all who are getting their approvals!!!

It's still worriesome that we have our interview appointment and haven't gotten anything on EAD or AP yet....

Well P's interview today went really well and he got called back for a third interview on Monday with a different set of managers within the company. I suppose they could just hire him and not pay him till he gets EAD....

Applied for SSN this morning in Hackensack, 2-4 weeks in the mail! My Wife also applied for her name changed social, up to 10 days!

05/29/2008 --- Entry into the US on Visa Waiver to visit my girlfriend for a summer holiday and to help take care of her sick father where needed.

06/20/2008 -- After the sad passing of my girlfriend's father, we decided to get married and stay together

08/08/2008 --- We get married, lovely ceremony and dinner with all of Sarah's family present :-)

08/25/2008 --- AOS package sent to Chicago via Fedex overnight priority mail. Fingers crossed now!

08/26/2008 -- AOS Package received in Chicago, signed for by A.Smith (1 day before my VWP expires!)

09/02/2008 -- Checks cashed!!

09/03/2008 -- NOA1 received for I-485, I-130 and I-765.

09/05/2008 -- Case is shown online as pending!!

09/08/2008 -- Biometrics appointment letter received for September 23rd!! (For both I-485 and I-765)

09/12/2008 -- Biometrics walk-in completed, 11 days before the appointment! In Hackensack NJ.

09/20/2008 -- RFE for I-485 received. It was dated September 17.

09/25/2008 -- RFE response evidence sent out to Lee's Summit by USPS, certified mail.

10/02/2008 -- RFE response evidence received and case processing resumed!

11/04/2008 -- EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED! Thank you Lord.

My AOS doesn't exist on-line at all :(

"Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again."

That's what I've been doing as a law obeying person ;)
