Trying to get to the SS office in Hackensack, the website says mon-fri 9-4.. is this the only times they are open? My Wife is the driver and she works mon-fri 8-4, grrr arrrgh!

05/29/2008 --- Entry into the US on Visa Waiver to visit my girlfriend for a summer holiday and to help take care of her sick father where needed.

06/20/2008 -- After the sad passing of my girlfriend's father, we decided to get married and stay together

08/08/2008 --- We get married, lovely ceremony and dinner with all of Sarah's family present :-)

08/25/2008 --- AOS package sent to Chicago via Fedex overnight priority mail. Fingers crossed now!

08/26/2008 -- AOS Package received in Chicago, signed for by A.Smith (1 day before my VWP expires!)

09/02/2008 -- Checks cashed!!

09/03/2008 -- NOA1 received for I-485, I-130 and I-765.

09/05/2008 -- Case is shown online as pending!!

09/08/2008 -- Biometrics appointment letter received for September 23rd!! (For both I-485 and I-765)

09/12/2008 -- Biometrics walk-in completed, 11 days before the appointment! In Hackensack NJ.

09/20/2008 -- RFE for I-485 received. It was dated September 17.

09/25/2008 -- RFE response evidence sent out to Lee's Summit by USPS, certified mail.

10/02/2008 -- RFE response evidence received and case processing resumed!

11/04/2008 -- EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED! Thank you Lord.

11/10/2008 -- EAD card received in the mail! wOOt wOOt!!!!

11/12/2008 -- SSN ordered from Hackensack, 2-4 weeks in mail!

11/28/2008 -- SSN Received in the mail, wOOt!!!!!!!!

12/7/2008 -- INTERVIEW LETTER RECEIVED!!! It's scheduled February 19, 2009 at 8:30am in Newark. *nerves*

2/19/2009 -- Interview 8:30am - Green Card verbally approved

2/23/2009 -- Welcome letter received! followed by I-130 approval notice!

I believe you have to go in person. I was in the same position you are in and I had to get my MIL to take me, is there anyone who can give you a lift there?

I called you twice: your house and your cell. You must go in person, take your passport, fill out form SS5 (you can grab it and fill it out at the SSN office), and your EAD.

In 9 days it's going to be 3 months since you filed. I would call them and see what they say .. what the heck... I'm getting frustrated for you.. :angry: aaggrhh

08/14/08 - CSC received application (confirmed via online signature)

08/21/08 - Notice date by USCIS

08/25/08 - Received NOA1

08/29/08 - Notice of Rejection of 797C Fee (Sent in extra money - money order mailed back.)

Fee waived for I-765 application when filed concurrently with I-130 and I-485.

08/30/08 - Biometrics Apt Notice received

09/13/08 - Biometrics completed and picture taken

11/05/08 - EAD card production ordered

11/07/08 - Received I-485 Interview letter

11/10/08 - EAD card production ordered (again)

Cheers Johnnie, mate my cellphone is dead, my Wife picked me up a tracphone and it SUCKED. Charges for receiving calls and text, by the minute too! Bloody cheek. lol. Must have been out when you called the house dude, just went up to GAP, they're gonna give me an orientation next week with just the EAD but i can't start work until i have the ssn. Where was your orientation, Paramus?

USCIC Website updated today that on 11/08 AP was approved! Yipee! :dance:

Now hoping EAD is close behind!

Received on July 25th at NSC

Check cashed by CSC on Aug 3rd

NOA1 mailed from CSC on Aug 2nd (Notice Date on form is Aug 1st)

Touched on August 7th.......

Touched on Sept.14...(due to me contacting CSC about the "jr." following his name...

Touched on Sept.19...again due to call to CSC about typo on NOA1..

Going to Manila Nov 1st for work...Get to spend 2 fantastic months with my baby!

Yup, it's 2 and half hours. You can start as soon as you apply for the SSN with the letter they give you.

Thanks guys :D I'm not really that frustrated - I think I was moreso when I was expecting it to turn up sooner! Now I have kinda got into a routine of checking my e-mails, hanging out on facebook and then spending about eight hours developing my business I want to start up when I get a chance (that is money to invest in materials and get my website up and running online!) I don't know how I am going to find time to work when I get my EAD :lol:

It's been kinda neat though - I intended to work on my jewelry a lot when I got here and I haven't been motivated at all - now I am and it is really exciting - I keep doing funky things like working out how much I need to sell things for and how much I need to insure things for when I am shipping them - I have spreadsheets set up for accounts, excel formulae coming out of my ears... in fact I feel quite clever!!! :lol:
