10/13/08 - EAD card ordered for production

10/21/08 - EAD approval letter sent

10/22/08 - EAD card in hand!

10/27/08 - temporary driver's license (waiting on card..)

08/14/08 - CSC received application (confirmed via online signature)

08/21/08 - Notice date by USCIS

08/25/08 - Received NOA1

08/29/08 - Notice of Rejection of 797C Fee (Sent in extra money - money order mailed back.)

Fee waived for I-765 application when filed concurrently with I-130 and I-485.

08/30/08 - Biometrics Apt Notice received

09/13/08 - Biometrics completed and picture taken

11/05/08 - EAD card production ordered

11/07/08 - Received I-485 Interview letter

11/10/08 - EAD card production ordered (again)

11/13/08 - EAD approval notice sent

11/14/08 - EAD arrived in the mail

11/21/08 - I-130 touched and I-485 finally shows up online

12/08/08 - Interview for GC - RFE requested :-(

05/29/2008 --- Entry into the US on Visa Waiver to visit my girlfriend for a summer holiday and to help take care of her sick father where needed.

06/20/2008 -- After the sad passing of my girlfriend's father, we decided to get married and stay together

08/08/2008 --- We get married, lovely ceremony and dinner with all of Sarah's family present :-)

08/25/2008 --- AOS package sent to Chicago via Fedex overnight priority mail. Fingers crossed now!

08/26/2008 -- AOS Package received in Chicago, signed for by A.Smith (1 day before my VWP expires!)

09/02/2008 -- Checks cashed!!

09/03/2008 -- NOA1 received for I-485, I-130 and I-765.

09/05/2008 -- Case is shown online as pending!!

09/08/2008 -- Biometrics appointment letter received for September 23rd!! (For both I-485 and I-765)

09/12/2008 -- Biometrics walk-in completed, 11 days before the appointment! In Hackensack NJ.

09/20/2008 -- RFE for I-485 received. It was dated September 17.

09/25/2008 -- RFE response evidence sent out to Lee's Summit by USPS, certified mail.

I failed my California written driver test. I figured I'd been driving for almost 10 years in New York and Arizona so how hard could it be? THey asked me a few car maintenance type questions and because there were only 20 questions on the test, there wasn't much room for error. After that, I got the little booklet and actually studied it every time I moved to a new state. My husband walked right into our DMV and got his on the first try without ever looking in the book. What questions you get is all the luck of the draw. They can ask you how to fix your brake if the pedal suddenly falls to the floor while you are barrelling down the freeway or they can ask you what a stop sign means.

Still nothing for us from USCIS. I want to book our plane tickets for Christmas!

DL in my wallet...next I'm gonna take the Motorcycle license knowledge test. So I can finally buy my bike!!!!!!

Passed 44/50 :dance::dance::devil::devil:

Only bad thing the DL is valid for as long as your Work Aut. So keep it coming!!!!!!

Doc. Hyde you'll soon get your EAD...thanks to everyone for their good wishes..........

Is it normal that you get a CRIS update for EAD, saying "We mailed you a notice that we approved this I-765" AFTER Card Production was ordered ? I'm a little confused, because I thought that the case would be approved before Card Production is ordered ...

Is it normal that you get a CRIS update for EAD, saying "We mailed you a notice that we approved this I-765" AFTER Card Production was ordered ? I'm a little confused, because I thought that the case would be approved before Card Production is ordered ...

It happens everytime, even happened to me so don't worry. You'll receive the EAD card in a paper that says you've been approved to work.

Thanks for the clarification. Did your AP and EAD arrive at the same time or did your AP arrive first ?
