hi guys,

just want to ask something... when i came here with k1 visa, i was able to get an ssn with my maiden name on it coz i still have valid I-94 in hand. now that i am married and I-94 expires, i want to changed it to my married name, however, when i went to an ssa office, they wouldn't let me coz i still have no green card with me... i forgot to ask them if they will allow me change my name when i get my EAD which is soon (i hope). has anyone there who had maiden name in their ssn changed after they get their EAD? or should i wait for my gc before going there to change my maiden to married name. thank you...

You should be able to change it with your EAD card.

Well I just came from the MVC and I failed my DL by 2 damn points! I have to wait until next week to re-take the test. :wacko::angry::wacko:

You can practice online they have review questions:

Its 50 questions multiple selection. I've done a million times the practice test: Nothing on that practice shows up on the test: BEWARE!!! I'll read the drivers manual again, this is so stupid I've been driving for 10 years already.

Usually the questions come right off the manual. Unfortunately you "kinda" have to memorize it.. :blink:

EAD was in the mail box this morning. YEY. Going to SS office tomorrow to change name on SS card and to DMV to start driving licence stuff. Got the keys to my buick today.

I'm wondering when P will get his EAD....seems like it's taking forever to reach us. The card production was ordered on 10/7 yet still nothing in the mail.... Oh well.
