I filed in August, and the case is still pending at the Missouri / National Benefits Center. I filed through H1-B, (not K-1), and was wondering if it's normal that the case hasn't been transferred to a local office... Given I've recently dealt with an RFE, I know it may take longer, but just wanted to see if anyone else can give some insights. Thank you!!

I am not sure on that one. I heard that K1's get transferred to California (don't quote me on that though). Also heard that the cases get transferred to the local office when time comes for the interview.

I've filed from a B2 visa - so not too sure how yours work.

08/12/08 - Mailed application to CSC (I-485/I-765/I-130)

08/14/08 - CSC received application (confirmed via online signature)

08/21/08 - Notice date by USCIS

08/25/08 - Received NOA1

08/29/08 - Notice of Rejection of 797C Fee (Sent in extra money - money order mailed back.)

Fee waived for I-765 application when filed concurrently with I-130 and I-485.

08/30/08 - Biometrics Apt Notice received

09/13/08 - Biometrics completed and picture taken

11/05/08 - EAD card production ordered

11/07/08 - Received I-485 Interview letter

11/10/08 - EAD card production ordered (again)

11/13/08 - EAD approval notice sent

11/14/08 - EAD arrived in the mail

11/21/08 - I-130 touched and I-485 finally shows up online

12/08/08 - Interview for GC - RFE requested :-(

01/02/09 - Response from RFE received (Form G-56/Call-in Notice Appointment)

01/16/09 - Second Appointment to review application -- APPROVED! :-))) YAY!!!

01/16/09 - AOS card production ordered - E-mail from CRIS

01/22/09 - AOS card production ordered (again) - E-mail from CRIS

01/23/09 - AOS touched

01/24/09 - Received Welcome to the United States letter and approval notice for I-130

01/28/09 - AOS Approval Notice sent - E-mail from CRIS

01/29/09 - AOS touched

01/30/09 - GC arrived in the mail

11/16/10 - Form I-751 filed (Petition for Removal of conditions)

11/19/10 - Application received at VSC

He called me up pretending to be the DHS and he regretted to inform me that my application for permanent residence had been denied and i was to be arrested and deported immediately!!!!

05/29/2008 --- Entry into the US on Visa Waiver to visit my girlfriend for a summer holiday and to help take care of her sick father where needed.

06/20/2008 -- After the sad passing of my girlfriend's father, we decided to get married and stay together

08/08/2008 --- We get married, lovely ceremony and dinner with all of Sarah's family present :-)

08/25/2008 --- AOS package sent to Chicago via Fedex overnight priority mail. Fingers crossed now!

08/26/2008 -- AOS Package received in Chicago, signed for by A.Smith (1 day before my VWP expires!)

09/02/2008 -- Checks cashed!!

09/03/2008 -- NOA1 received for I-485, I-130 and I-765.

09/05/2008 -- Case is shown online as pending!!

09/08/2008 -- Biometrics appointment letter received for September 23rd!! (For both I-485 and I-765)

09/12/2008 -- Biometrics walk-in completed, 11 days before the appointment! In Hackensack NJ.

09/20/2008 -- RFE for I-485 received. It was dated September 17.

09/25/2008 -- RFE response evidence sent out to Lee's Summit by USPS, certified mail.

10/02/2008 -- RFE response evidence received and case processing resumed!

11/04/2008 -- EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED! Thank you Lord.

11/10/2008 -- EAD card received in the mail! wOOt wOOt!!!!

11/12/2008 -- SSN ordered from Hackensack, 2-4 weeks in mail!

11/28/2008 -- SSN Received in the mail, wOOt!!!!!!!!

12/7/2008 -- INTERVIEW LETTER RECEIVED!!! It's scheduled February 19, 2009 at 8:30am in Newark. *nerves*

2/19/2009 -- Interview 8:30am - Green Card verbally approved

2/23/2009 -- Welcome letter received! followed by I-130 approval notice!

Hahaha...I was actually gonna make it a bit more scary, but I didn't want him to suffer so badly. :devil::whistle::innocent:

Still nothing online for me - boo!!! I know I have someone else to add to the spreadsheet today as well so hopefully I will get around to that but am currently suffering from random-shoulder-pain syndrome... I woke up and it was like it four days ago and I've tried to stretch it out but it just aggravated it - now I am trying to type without moving it because it needs resting i guess :unsure:

good to see some movement in my absence. Still no sign of my card I did however recieve another CRIS update that a letter notifying me of my EAD approval.

Missing my parents after having them here for 10days. All the homesickness came back. Been trying to keep busy looking for jobs and on a positive note my father in law has given me a Buick for when I get my licence. It's not a great car but it goes. Used to be my eldest sister in laws before she went away for college.

@SHINING ANGEL...I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I don't have any experience of my own and I can only begin to imagine how you most feel. The important thing right now is that you have your husband and you can get through the hard time together. I'll pray for you both.
