Ok - next dumb question... Do I put my married name or my maiden name on the I-485?

Wow... it's like being a n00b all over again

Songbird - have some popcorn :D:pop:

I could use the company... I've *just* started looking at the forms for the first time in months and I want to cry!!

Use your married name.

Of course I'm assuming that's the name you want on your Green Card? :D

I was informed at my medical that they can approve the K-1 without the medical requirements but that these were required to adjust status so I don't think there is any getting around it... will look more into it though but think I am stuck with it :)

Ah well, who can't afford another $160 on a single income?!?!?!

That's weird... didn't you have a medical exam in your home country? And you passed it? So, therefore you had your medical before the new requirements went into effect. You may need additional vaccines (my husband did and he had his medical in March, but it was just a second round of the MMR vaccine) but they should NOT be from the new list.

I would keep calling around and see what kind of a deal you can get. Did you already use the CS locator? I paid $25 for the transcription and the list of other required vaccines. That's it!!! The office I called was VERY informed about all the new and old requirements.

We're still getting our #######...err, I mean, our paperwork...together to file for AOS, but I'm pretty sure we will be August filers. Can I have some popcorn too or do I have to file first?

This morning I read on a thread about Michael Phelps on another board that he eats three chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast every morning (along with a few pounds of other food) and I've been obsessing about food ever since.

Ha ha! #######! That's how I felt too. (And Micheal eats an incredible amt of food daily! Scary that Baltimorean, ha ha! Go Baltimore, go!)

I don't know the answer to this one. I've seen in other threads though that people should put their married name on it. Don't quote me on this one though. It was easy for my husband! :)

The forms won't take as long as you think they will. Just gather together your papers from the I-129F submission and your stuff from the Embassy interview and you'll fly through it!

AOS & getting the SSN & the I-693

6/13/08 Applied for SSN for David ----- TRIP 1; 6/23/08 Went back to SSA 'cuz the person didn't pc all documents (rec'd letter from them) ----- TRIP 2

7/2/08 Received David's health insurance cards! Yay!

7/3/08 Went back to SSA; they said come back 7/9 if he still hasn't received it ----- TRIP 3

7/8/08 Got list of vaccines he still needed from CS by fax/phone; tested for immunity to MMR (only vaccine still needed) at our family dr

7/9 & 7/10/08 Went back to SSA, card still not received - Denied opportunity to apply for replacement ----- TRIP 4; Went back to SSA again to apply for a replacement card - Talked to a supervisor this time, POE people entered his last name incorrectly ----- TRIP 5; went to get David's ID thru the State, denied - instructions wrong on website; measles test inconclusive, another test needed; requested new lease

7/14/08 SSA called me in regards to problems at local SSA office

7/15/08 INFOPASS appt to fix POE name input error and then went to airport to fix POE name error

7/17/08 Received SSN card in mail and went to get state ID

7/21/08 State ID received in the mail and tested again for measles immunity

7/29/08 MMR shot #2 given and dropped off papers at Civil Surgeon (CS)

7/31/08 Picked up I-693, completed by local CS, (I paid $25, don't be fooled)

8/3 - 8/6/08 Worked on forms I-485, G-325A, I-864, I-765 and I-131; sent to Chicago - YESSS!

8/11/08 NOA1 for AOS, EAD and AP; 9/2/08 Transfered to CSC; 9/4/08 Biometrics

I had my medical after the new requirements went into effect though - that is why I need the HPV vaccine. The vaccines don't have to be up to date to pass the medical, they just have to be completed prior to AOS. I opted to get the HPV done here as it wasn't available on the NHS in the UK and would have cost me more to get done there...

So i started the Waiting game yesterday,i guess i am a August filer.

So everyone else on here seems to be K1 visa's ?and the such,is anyone else out there a VWP AOS ? forgive me if my terminology is sketchy but this whole thing isbrand new since last week,im still getting used to the being married idea ! LOL although we have learnt in the past few days since researching and filling in all the paperwork that we were both stressed but stayed happy and in love, not a single row,i fully recommend AOS forms and filing to test any marriage ! ;-)

So is there any experience out there of VWP AOS,any issues ? problems ?

Good luck to everyone and best wishes in your Visa Journey's
