05/29/2008 --- Entry into the US on Visa Waiver to visit my girlfriend for a summer holiday and to help take care of her sick father where needed.

06/20/2008 -- After the sad passing of my girlfriend's father, we decided to get married and stay together

08/08/2008 --- We get married, lovely ceremony and dinner with all of Sarah's family present :-)

08/25/2008 --- AOS package sent to Chicago via Fedex overnight priority mail. Fingers crossed now!

08/26/2008 -- AOS Package received in Chicago, signed for by A.Smith (1 day before my VWP expires!)

09/02/2008 -- Checks cashed!!

09/03/2008 -- NOA1 received for I-485, I-130 and I-765.

09/05/2008 -- Case is shown online as pending!!

09/08/2008 -- Biometrics appointment letter received for September 23rd!! (For both I-485 and I-765)

09/12/2008 -- Biometrics walk-in completed, 11 days before the appointment! In Hackensack NJ.

09/20/2008 -- RFE for I-485 received. It was dated September 17.

09/25/2008 -- RFE response evidence sent out to Lee's Summit by USPS, certified mail.

10/02/2008 -- RFE response evidence received and case processing resumed!

11/04/2008 -- EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED! Thank you Lord.

11/10/2008 -- EAD card received in the mail! wOOt wOOt!!!!

11/12/2008 -- SSN ordered from Hackensack, 2-4 weeks in mail!

I can't even see my I-485 online. I called them last Friday and was told it is normal not to see it (already knew that, but thought I would call anyway). They do have the application and I have to be patient and wait. :whistle:

Regarding the EAD, the USCIS officer said that it can take up to 4 months! :unsure: Now I don't know. Based on timelines here I am hoping to see my card in a month and a half to 2 max.

Let's sit tight and pray for each other. I do for you guys. :) Really do.

I miss the northeast and the beautiful fall. I'm from Boston, lived there for a long time, then moved to FL with my husband, and now we are in San Diego, CA for his work (temporarily). We were supposed to come back home this week, but I guess it is not going to happen yet.

I love NY and NJ! Would always drive there with my girl friends (when I was single). :)

I was actually thinking about apple picking. That must be fun.. Never got to do that. Now it is the season too, huh?

Are you guys making some apple cider? B)

10/10: EAD Card Production Ordered.

Considering that another Boston filer who was also sent to California for processing took 3 months, I am hoping for November for the GC.

But that might be too optimistic.

We had alot of fun, though we had a fight getting there cause the stupid GPS froze.... :wacko:

Season begins late August and usually ends end of Oct. Depends on the apple type. I actually LOVE FL and my wife and I have spoken various times about moving down south. I hate the cold and so does she.

I'm actually making a Crazy Crust Apple Pie later on...since I'm a cook. I put my expertise at work..

How is CA? nice???
