Okay, so the transfer email states "...and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice." How long does it take to get this notice, and/or what are the instructions?

To answer my own question, we received the notice today; so the original email was on 9/22, and it took 5 days.

The notice says:

"This is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing:

California Service Center, 2nd floor 2400 Avila Road, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0111

That office will notify you of the decision made on the application or petition.

Please read the following information before attempting to contact the National Customer Service Center for an update:

Please refer to the USCIS processing dates webpage, via the USCIS home webpage http://www.uscis.gov/graphics.htm, to locate the processing dates for the specific service center that your case was transferred to. If the service center is within the processing time for your particular application or petition, USCIS cannot provide an update on your case. If the service center is outside of processing time for your particular application or petition, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 to request an update..."

I didn't know if there would be any other instructions; I hope that this is useful to all the transferees...

Johnnie - cats are still alive - the tiny one is annoying Daisy a lot but she just tries to avoid him and unless he is a real nightmare or she is having a grumpy day, sometimes she will even let him get away with playing with her tail for a very short while!!

Still nothing online.

Debz - how do your cats get along? I know you said Oscar was a bit of a grouch

Daisy sniffed the little guy last night so that is a bit of improvement!! It's slow but I think as the kitty gets older and calms down a bit then Daisy will feel better about him

Nothing that new on the visa front for us.

The only "fun" bit of news is that I spent over an hour on the phone with a lady trying to get her to understand that we needed to change by husband's name on the AOS, EAD and AP. The AOS and EAD went alright (although we were told at Biometrics that they had changed those two. Now they are saying it could take up to 45 days). But, changing the AP was the real kicker. The lady couldn't find our case in the system (which coincidently is also the only one we cannot see online). She started telling me about how I needed to pay AP seperately from AOS. I calmly told her about how that is not what the instructions say, and she was insistent that SHE is the immigration officer and that SHE knows how it is. We went around in circles for a while until I finally made it clear that I had a receipt number, have received an NOA1 and told her that the case would have been returned to me at that first stage if we had paid an incorrect amount. That finally quieted her down and her response was "fine, I guess it is irrelevant now....but that is what you should have done". Ok...whatever....

Now back to more waiting

Nothing new here either. Wife completed biometrics early in September. Would LOVE to get the EAD.

No updates here, either. I don't really expect any for a while. Our AOS is probably still on its way from Chicago to California, and then once it gets there it will probably sit there collecting dust for at least a month before anyone does anything with it. It would be nice to find my husband's AP and EAD waiting for us in the mail when we come home from our honeymoon.

Still nothing here but it is our weekend now as Jeremy has his days off as Monday and Tuesday - today we are going to sit around and chillout playing on the PS3 alllllll day

Oh btw - who here is from SoCal? Just realised I don't know where half of us are based and I am so used to knowing where all my July K-1 buddies are!!!

We are in southern Illinois, near St Louis. I lived in Orange County for 3 years, but that was 14 years ago.

I have a bad cold and we are flying to Seattle for our wedding in 5 days. I hope this goes away by then, because if it doesn't, I will be miserable on the plane.
