I looked at the spreadsheet for the July filers thread and their average time for AP and EAD was 59 days from filing for one of them and 61 days for the other (can't remember which was which but that is obviously pretty close). I would expect that some of you who filed early in August will indeed start getting your APs and EADs very soon.

I really hope so for EAD at least. Not so much worried about AP because we can't afford to leave the country right now anyway....but I know Patrick is ready to work. Poor guy, he's been great about cooking and driving kids around, but not his idea of a productive daily life

Hi guys! It seems most people here are k1 adjusting to PR. But I'm still wishing that one of you can answer my question. I've read the k3 guidelines that K3 visa is a multiple entry visa that's why I didn't apply for AP. And also you can extend the visa beyond 2 years. So what do you mean by that. For instance., I'm still waiting for my AOS approval.,and my visa will soon expire., so do you mean I can apply for an extension of 2 yrs or more?

If that the case., that is perfect. I got lots of time for AOS. I already filed in August for I-765 and I-485 and my visa will expire in 2010. So I can extend it for another two years.,?????

Another question., will application for AOS change my k3 status?

I hope you can help me with this. I'm really confused of my status now that my application has been filed.

thank you!

Probably :) I know it's frustrating because he can't work and we don't get to spend much time together of course because I do work. We spend more time together now than we ever did when we were in 2 different countries...but I don't think that makes it much better when he's just tired of sitting at home.

Sonoran .... did you find your plane tickets?!

No, those are going to be sent later. Right now, they are just delaying your case without being able to tell you why.

There is also the FBI name check for your 3rd cousin's cat, and because his name is Spot, a name usually associated with dogs and rather common, it's taking a frig of a long time. But they can't tell you why.

Found the plane tickets. But now I have two new wedding-related glitches. My sister, who is my maid of honor, was going to wear a blue bridesmaid dress that she wore in a friend's wedding a few years ago. Now she says it needs too many alterations so she is going to go buy another dress when she goes to Paducah for something else on Monday and I have no idea what color. The florist needs to know that so she makes a bouquet that shows up against my sister's dress. AND we are getting large boxes of wedding gifts delivered at a rate of pretty much one a day, so I have to arrange for a house sitter while we are gone.

Just checked USCIS website again. If they've issued an RFE for my grandfather's dog's 1935 rabies vaccine since the 23rd, it isn't showing up in the system yet.
