August 2008 AOS Filers

Nothing from us. We can see the cases online, but no touches or letters of transfer or activity of any kind. I'm not too worried. Maybe that's bad? A false sense of security? It just all seems so much easier with him here in teh same country.

Of course, EAD would be great....

We received our AP yesterday in the Mail. Yay!

We filed for our AOS and EAD in June, however, we didn't file for the AP until August.

Just wanted to give fellow August filers an update.

By the way, we did not have any touches on USCIS website.

Not even our case number can be located or found.

Weird.. huh.

According to USCIS 90 days. Most people I've seen get it after 60-70 days from initial filing. All this if your name check is not delayed by the FBI.

Wow - good news on the AP Still nothing here - I was kinda expecting to at least get an RFE by now... fingers crossed it won't happen! But then I don't want to tempt fate so who knows!?

Argh! I have a kitten trying to play with my butt while I sit on the chair - it is the chair my other cat normally sleeps on when the kitten tries to play with her so maybe my butt looks like a cat!? Odd little thing...

My butt could never be mistaken for a kitten. A big fat alley cat, maybe, but never a kitten.

I looked at the spreadsheet for the July filers thread and their average time for AP and EAD was 59 days from filing for one of them and 61 days for the other (can't remember which was which but that is obviously pretty close). I would expect that some of you who filed early in August will indeed start getting your APs and EADs very soon.

Just a quick update. I know I haven't been here for a while. Congrats to all the approvals and transfers.

We had our biometrics appt last week. Bassi's fingerprints wouldn't take on the computer, so he had to do the old paper way with black and ink and stuff. I hope that doesn't lengthen the process, but I'm sure it will. I haven't tried to look online again, so don't know if there's progress on that front. Otherwise, we're just patiently waiting. Luckily for us, we've been so busy with "stuff" we haven't thought much about the fact that we're waiting for these cards in the mail. Life is good. 10 million times better than the last time I was waiting for stuff from USCIS and my sweetie was across the sea with airline tickets at over $1200 a pop. Life is definitely good. Keep the faith guys, it'll come in due time!

Yes, it was fast. Maybe its because we also had our biometrics back in July. 7/17/08.

AP was approved in 47 days.

Yeah well the dress I am wearing is brown and the kitten is young and stupid so maybe he just can't figure it out Either that or he just associates anything on the chair as a big toy to play with... thankfully he is sleeping right now as is my other kitty - peace at last!

Next Friday the 3rd will be my 59th day since I filed. So I'm thinking my EAD will arrive sometime between this week and the next.

Dear American Airlines, I accidentally deleted the email containing the tickets I purchased to fly to Seattle for my own wedding. Although I've printed out several copies, I highly doubt I will be able to find even one. I of course cannot find the confirmation number I wrote down either. Would you be so kind as to send me another email? Thank you ever so much. Yours truly, Mrs Head Up Her Butt (both of which, thankfully, are attached to my body so they will not be left behind when we leave for the airport...unlike, say, my plane tickets....).

If we ever renew our vows for an anniversary or something, I am NOT doing it in front of family and friends. And if I ever have a child, I will strongly encourage said child to elope in Vegas and send me the pictures.

Sorry, just needed a bit of a vent. No updates on our AOS, but I wasn't really expecting that there would be.

Dr Mirage, congrats on your AP! I'm not sure if I said that already. I meant to, but I don't think I did.
