Congrats, DI & JR!

Thanks, Johnnie J. I feel a little guilty because ours has been visible on line all along. I'm not sure what their deal is. Oh wait---it's USCIS, there simply is no rhyme or reason to anything.

:crying::crying::cry:

I wouldn't care if I knew something...I really don't care if I get my interview, but I want to know something.

With the USCIS you'd rather hear nothing than bad news! Good or nothing should be the rule!

Hey Rich, where the heck have you been?

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.

Well guys I moved last weekend and according to the USCIS website I have to submit AR-11 form for the change of address (by mail OR online) and also call the 1800 number to change address for every application individually. So I called them this morning and got through right away with no wait whatsoever.

OMG those poor representatives! Their entire job consists of 95% of general statements and only 5% of actual answering questions.

Anyway she told me that since I have already submitted the AR-11 online I didn't have to call them. Apparently I'm gonna get official confirmation letter in the mail within 45 days. Is this true guys?

Also my case number is still unavailable online and when she checked it for me I don't think she got anything either. She just told me the general BS about waiting 180 days and calling again.

I'm so frustrated, so disappointed!...

Don't worry if you can't see your case. I don't even trust their web service. Alot of people don't receive updates and receive their AP, EAD, or even GC in the mail. I have the same problem and yesterday they told me the usual time to wait after having the biometrics taken is 60 days (for EAD). They all say something different.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.

This is true. Since you have received your NOA1s and your biometrics letter, you know they have your case and have not lost it somewhere. It looks like there isn't anything missing from it that should raise concerns at this point. And yes, not worrying about it is easier said than done.

We just got the email telling us we were transferred to CSC! Woohoo!!

I've been having kind of a crappy stressful day, so it was good timing, too.

Congrats!!!!!!!! I have no clue whats going on with my applications, since I can't check my case online.

Ditto here - still nothing online so no RFEs for the moment but expecting them to come soon!!!

We just got the transfer email too!

Wow - that was super-fast! Well done to all the touches and transfers - we're still playing the waiting game!

Again, let me know any updates for the spreadsheet and I will try and get it done as soon as I get a spare moment :)

Mmmm82, have you put in a change of address notice with the post office? You should do that anyway. If you do that, anything USCIS sends to the old address will still reach you. I am looking at the page on their site that explains address change with the A-11 and I am confused.

If you choose not to complete an electronic Form AR-11, you will be required to obtain a paper Form AR-11 and mail it to the address shown on the form. This will delay the process of notifying USCIS significantly. Not filing an electronic AR-11 and choosing to mail in a paper AR-11 will not update your address on any applications or petitions pending with USCIS.

Regardless of whether or not you are a U.S. citizen, if you choose not to use the electronic change of address notification, you will need to call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to request that the address on your pending application/petition be changed. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you will also need to complete a paper Form AR-11.

If you are not a U.S. citizen and you have a case pending with USCIS, you will need to do both – call customer service and complete the paper AR-11. Completing an AR-11 does not update your address on any pending case. Also, notifying customer service does not meet the legal requirement of completing an AR-11.

If you mail a paper Form AR-11, we recommend using certified, registered or return receipt mail. This is not currently a requirement of USCIS, however it is advisable to send the AR-11 by a method that will give you documentation that you did mail the form to USCIS, in case there should ever be a question.

####### do they mean the address will not be changed for your pending application? Isn't that sort of the whole point?

I know this is very common--lots of people move during the process. You might want to try a VJ search or start an OP. I wouldn't worry about it, but you do want to make sure you have it covered. Chances are anyone here who has dealt with the address change knows more than the person who answers the phone at USCIS.

Had the biometrics appointment yesterday. It was pretty quiet at the Des Moines office, only about 6 other people waiting. The appointment was for 10am and I think I got in to see the lady at 10.15. A quick electronic scan of my fingerprints and a mugshot and I was out 10 minutes later.

Fingers crossed for a speedy EAD, now.

Yeah

I'm also confused very much so.

Anyway I did setup mail forwarding with USPS and also submitted the online AR-11 form so hopefully it's gonna be enough.
