We got the NOA1s today and our check cleared yesterday. Now we get to wait, wait, wait some more.

Quick question - I haven't even looked before today, but I notice on the timelines that there is a predicted adjudication date for both EAD and AP but not for AOS... is there a a reason for this at all do we know? It seems a bit odd is all...

I think that because there is really no consistency with AOS and who gets interviews and such there is no real way to predict what a good time frame is.

Would be good if there was a way to see how long it took with/without an interview - kind of like a projected date for both based on historical trends... I am sure there is a way it could be done

Ah well... maybe the spreadsheet will reveal all

I think also it might have to do with the fact that different local office take very different amounts of time to process AOS, so there really is too much variation to it. Whereas our K's all went through either CA or VT, and EAD & AP all go through the National Benefits Center (I think), so it's more realistic to make the kinds of predictions VJ makes.

I am not sure why Thao had her picture and fingerprints taken at the POE(LAX) and now we have to do it again at the biometrics. Does anyone know why this is done twice? Is it to make sure the AOS biometrics and paperwork matches the biometrics from the POE?

I don't think they are related. This next biometrics is for your AOS application. ANd for the other application to come like lifting of condition and naturalization there will still be biometrics there. Its like just a standard procedure for each application and their not related to each other. jUst me i might be wrong

I actually thought about this too... Maybe to see if it's the same person? To see that no one is trying to cheat the system? Embassy, POE, beginning of AOS. Later on I know that it has to be done again.

Just a goofy thought maybe.

Biometrics was super easy. Entered the room and filled in a paper in English (I went with David). Sat for 2 minutes. They called him up and he walked over to a little photo/fingerprint area. (She spoke Spanish, yay!) Took lots of fingerprints. Took a picture. He signed a paper. We were there for maybe 8 minutes total.

They did not do fingerprinting or take of picture of my fiance at his POE.

Hmm isnt it that everyone need to undergo that at POE actually the biometrics at POE is not as many or longer than the biometrics done for AOS...

That's weird Trelawny. David had fingerprints done and a pic taken.

Stu got the biometrics appointment letter today! It's set for September 22.

We were also able to enter in all 3 of our cases to the online portfolio and it said all 3 are still at the National Benefits Center.

i was just wondering why they're asking you for I-693. did u initially send DS2035? u missed a vaccine? or u have to do the TB test?
