i walked-in the asc office at brandon, fl today. my biometrics appt is on sept 6 but we still drove down there to try if they will let me in. no other immigrants were in the office so they took we in. the receptionist gave me the form. i was done with everything in 5mins. :-)

Good going! another successful walk-in done. If alot of people start doing this USCIS will eventually ban anyone entering unless they have a scheduled date.

#######, I going bored out of my mine just sitting in my house........I need my EAD sometime SoON!!!!!!!

I am in the same position as you .. :-) bored .. but at least taking care of my husband and being able to do a lot for him .. breakfast, dinner, laundry .. cleaning the house .. you name it! :-)

I actually just came to my home town in a different state to visit my parents for the weekend. So I am here for a few days .. just enjoying the time off. You should do the same .. go somewhere .. travel .. beach .. I don't know. Let's just enjoy it for now while we are not working .. cuz once we do .. that's it! :-)

Haha....yeah I do the same for my wife: I clean, cook, do the laundry but after doing this since May I'm just getting tired. We have gone out alot this summer so I can't complain at all.

Yup, we should enjoy it....

We sent money order... so how do you know when they cash it or whatever?!

you can call the place where you bought it from and they can track it for you.

we used amscott money order when we sent the I-129f petition. we called their toll free # to find out if it has been cashed.

I just mailed our AOS packet ( ) but noticed that I put "Department of Homeland Security" instead of "US Department of Homeland Security" on the check

Is this going to be an issue?

I did the same, both for my K-1 and my AOS...they cashed them both.

:-) That's so cute! A man doing all that! :-) I am sure you will star working really soon and she will miss doing all that stuff for her! hehehe .. She'll be at a loss :-( Now you're going to always have to help her with everything, ok? :-) Make sure you do! :-)

I am out of town and my poor husband is whining because there's no food for him. He even cooked himself last night! :-) Poor thing..

But really .. I just can't wait to start working to help him with all the finances you know. He really doesn't complain and doesn't mind me not working .. but I feel really bad because we definitely can use some extra $$$! :-)

But let's just keep checking the mail .. soon enough!!

I used Amscott too, but didn't know you could track it. The person who sold me the order did tell me to keep the money order number, but I didn't know you could do that. Good to know.

I noticed, haha....it's ok. My wife doesn't complain either but I know it's tough just on one salary. I just wished I could check my case online see were I'm standing. To think I need to wait at least another month waiting for the EAD....

Aww Zee - I am sure it will be fine - it's a small detail and let's face it - it's hardly going to be for a different country!! The worst case scenario is that you get some A-hole who wants to nitpick and you get an RFE - no biggie Relax *hugs*

As for housework... yeah - I have been going crazy cause we had no quarters to do the laundry - finally today I was able to do two big loads I think I am quite sad to get such satisfaction from that... Having a housewarming party tomorrow as well so getting ready for that - am sooooo looking forward to it

And check still hasn't been cashed - booo!!
