hi there

we filed in August.

We had biometrics on Feb 13, our AOS interview on May 8 and got the approval/welcome letter on May 12 -notice date being May 11.

my status online was updated the SAME day as the interview stating "card production ordered". it was touched May 11 but its still saying "card production ordered" (obviously the touch was to send out the approval/welcome letters) Now waiting for the card in the mail.

Anybody with similar timeline? I'm expecting the card any day now since I was told by the IO "14 days"...tomorrow is day 14 :)

Hi Jeremy; how are you, I was wondering the same thing.

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

Touched June 2,3 and 4 after I called wondering if the received my response for the RFE that I sent to them May 14. The update says they received my response June 3 and I should expect a decision within 60 days.

Received an email from CRIS that card production has been ordered! Finally, it only took 10 months! Now it's time to wait for the GC to come in the mail.

Dave_Thao ---Congratulations at last!

It shouldn't be too much longer. I don't really know how long it took for us to get my husband's card---if the date on the GC was correct, it only took 9 days. We never actually got a CRIS update saying card production was ordered, and the date on his GC was before either of the two emails we got saying we'd been approved.

Merenguera---Their online system is incredibly wonky. It is possible that the May email right after your interview should have been just an approval notice. In that case, if the June 12 update really was when your card production was ordered, you should have it in hand within a week. If you don't, you might want to try calling. If they really ordered card production in May, you should have it by now.

Now there is a thread about GC production delays, so maybe what I said above about it taking only a week or two once it's actually ordered is no longer accurate. They sure don't make things easy, do they?

From Merenguera's signature:

May 8th, 2009 online update "Card Production ordered"

May 11th, 2009 touched

May 12th, 2009 received approval/welcome letter in mail

Jun 12th, 2009 online update: Second "Card Production ordered"

Jun 18th, 2009 Approval notice sent e-mail

Jun 22nd, 2009 GC in mail

Congratulations! Heh, I love how they sent an approval notice e-mail more than a month after you got the welcome letter in the mail. I wonder if they will fix their system by the time we are back in it for lifting conditions.

Nah. It'll probably be wonkier then.

I think we are only waiting for Dave_Thao's GC to come in the mail. Should be soon.
