Hi guys,

Do we need to get a new birth certificate for my husband who was born in Pennsylvania for our interview cuz the one we have here was issued on 2005 when he applied for his passport?

Thanks!

We didn't bring his birth certificate, the passport alone shows where he was born, the officer didn't ask for any birth certificate anyways, just the passport. From the K1 process start we didn't submit his birth certificate cuz he can't find it. Goodluck for your interview, our interview took less than 10 minutes it was pretty laid back interview.

Fendergirl--

Woohoo!! Congratulations! It is nice to see some good news in here, for a change.

Thanks, now my problem is i can't get through the uscis website it says i have no authorization to enter the site, duuhhh whatever to them LOL.

Thanks too fendergirl and congratulations on your interview! That was easy and quick one huh? :) I'm glad you got through the uscis website now. You'll gonna be receiving good news from them! God bless!

You're welcome, yea that was a quickie she told us that we were the last couple to be interviewed for the day so that makes us happy LOL i bet she just want to get the heck out and grab something to eat hehehe. I even asked her if she wants my EAD card mail once the GC arrives and she told me that i can keep it since i pay for it and it's not valid once GC is on hand and i can just tear the ead card if i wanted. It was really cool, husband was nervous while i was enjoying watching him being anxious and nervous LOL. That uscis website thing doesn't give me any update at all since they received my response to rfe.... now i'm approved it still says they received my response for the RFE.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. It's funny that your husband was nervous :P Well, sometimes USCIS update quickly after being approved but some just got their Welcome Notices and Greencards without being updated in the website. I was updated too after I got my Inteview Notice but it's the same information I got since they received my application for AOS. I wonder what it means but maybe they checked my papers in preparation for my Interview.

I'VE GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got a bloody greencard!

Totally dumbstruck and shaking at the moment. It came in the mail, no preceding welcome letter, no CRIS email, no touches, nothing, it just came today, approved on the 18th of this month, apparently!

I got the mail out of the box and saw an unexpected letter from Laguna Niguel and my heart skipped a beat. Bent the envelope and felt a card and I nearly fainted in the middle of the road

My wife's totally uncontactable until she finishes work because she's out of the office and the silly thing didn't take her cell so VJ, you're the first people I've told

Thank you to everyone who told me it would be OK. Goldfee, you were right when you said two weeks, almost to the day :star::thumbs:

DONE with USCIS until December 2010!! :D :D :D

The board just told me I used too many emoticons in this post!

I think there must be some problem with CRIS at the moment (both email wise and last touch date) so don't read too much into that. Just keep checking that mailbox. It'll come soon :)

Having been in the same situation until this morning I know how it feels and how much it starts to affect your mood and daily life having it hanging over you. Hang in there though, it'll come good in the end.

Woot!!! Jeremy, congrats!!!

Trelawny, I am pretty sure there are at least two people with interviews scheduled in April. There might still be people waiting for aprrovals from CSC or waiting for interview dates. I'm starting to lose track, and there are quite a few people who don't post regularly anymore (or never did).

Like Jeremy said, CRIS is effed and for all you know your card is on the way. Ours says hubby is an LPR as of January 20, but the system did not update until the 22nd and NEVER showed card production having been ordered. I can't remember who anymore, but a few other couples had the same thing as Jeremy--GC arrived with no CRIS update at all. Their system is as FUBAR as everything else to do with USCIS.

FWIW, we are praying for you.

Woot!!! Jeremy, congrats!!!

Thanks :D

For the record, my GC was approved without interview, with:

- A twenty year 'younger-man' age gap.

- No I-693C sent

- An incomplete DS-3025 vaccination supplement (no varicella entry, form sheet marked as 'incomplete').

- A USC spouse who makes only 36 dollars a year over 125% of the poverty line and who had only been in that position a short time.

- Only a letter of employment and a (woefully inadequate) 2007 tax return/W-2 as evidence of income.
