Now you know that you had nothing to worry about

USCIS just wanted to make the reception of your welcome letter even more sweeter

mine came Saturday and I was not that excited, I was actually hoping that with two envelops one would be the actual GC

now you can have a break from worrying of 21 months... until you apply for removal of condition :)

jeremy i guess when there are several touches u will get the welcome letter soon..that means that they work on ur case...wait 2 weeks and in this time u will get the letter..trust me;-))

i have 3 short questions

when i get my GC then i must chance my status on the SSN card right??

next question....i have right now only the temporary ID for texas wich expire on the same date like my EAD expires...so can i go to the DMV and geht the regular one and does it cost something???

and last question..do i have to send the EAD back or can i keep it??

Yep, you're supposed to tell them about any change in your immigration status. Plus, you can get "Valid for work only with DHS authorization" removed from the card.

Almost certainly they'll try and get you for a new license fee. This is the DMV we're talking about here :lol:

and last question..do i have to send the EAD back or can i keep it??

Some people were given an envelope at interview to send their EAD back in once the GC was received. If you didn't get one, I'd wager you can keep it as a memento :P. I'm sure they just shred them anyway and only ask for them back to make sure they don't find their way into the wrong hands.

<sigh> I hope so. I'm feeling pretty screwed up at the moment and I'm so totally fed up of dealing with immigration. This thread explains the situation I'm currently facing. April 6th is probably going to be a key date for our case. Hopefully I'll hear something before then or at least it passes without incident. :unsure:

and i gues there are not much people left wich are not been approved yet...maybe 4-5 i think..but it would be cool if jeraly could update the sheet...does anybody know whats up with her?iam worried...

i took a look in the sheet...and from the people i know has transatlantic the interview on march 16...
