Grrr, I hate calling USCIS. They told me everything I knew already. And when I asked why it was taking too long she asked for the closest field office. I told her Sacramento. Then she says they are working on July filers. I told her that if she was reading off the website they were working on July filers that Field Office Processing Dates for Sacramento CA as of: December 31, 2008. That it hasn't been updated for 2 months and they still wouldn't be on July. She said "sir she filed in August, they are working on July not December". I told her no that the site that she was reading off of hasn't been updated in a good 2 months and does not reflect the current timelines. And she just ignored me and said I should hope I get one in 1-4 weeks. So I just hung up. Anyway, is there a way I can talk to a competent person who can help out and see whats going on at least?

It seems like I always have long wait times and it always tests my patience. First took them almost 2 months to cash my check for K1. Then when it was sent to the Philippines they were updated their interview system and I had to wait an extra month to schedule the interview. Then after she passed the interview they messed up the finger scanning and didn't tell us and made me leave alone and had to wait another month for them to redo finger scanning. And now this :( Sorry for the long rant just wanted to get this off my chest.

Eric;

I share your pain, I don't know what to believe anymore...first they didn't have my husband's file, then it magically appeared, then I was told that all I-485 require an interview and I was also told that I-485 never get transferred to CSC, then they didn't know which office my husband's file was transferred to... so, I give up, well for 2 weeks anyway.

I feel ya brother. I called yesterday and got the same stuff. They told me our case is in St. Paul but I told them I got a letter saying it was tranferred to CSC. He said they do background checks at CSC and then they send it back to the local office. He couldn't tell what date it was sent back. That is why I called my Senator to find out where the file is actually located.

Hang in there.

We're going to do the same thing. We were told that they do not transfer cases to CSC.

Yeah, not knowing for certain is frustrating! But you will get your approval in the mail very soon.

The backlog at some local offices is ridiculous. I know a few people from this thread had their interviews in November and early December while some are still waiting even for them to be scheduled. I have heard the Los Angeles office is particularly bad. How hard would it be to hire more people to staff those busier offices? At the very least, they could schedule appointments further out so even if you don't have your interview until April or May, at least you know when you will have it and don't need to be left wondering if your filed still exists. And what exactly is CSC's excuse for taking over 6 months to approve applications? They don't even have to do an interview!

For what it's worth, those of you still waiting are in our thoughts and prayers.
