This is becoming riduculous.! Some December filers are already getting interviews in March and we have had nothing since a touch on 1-12-09. I am asking my Senator to look into it and hopefully something will move our case along.

Congrats to all the approvals so far!

06-29-09 received GC in mail

4-18-11 mailed I-751 CSC

CIS Office : California Service Center

Date Filed : 2011-04-18

NOA Date Received : 2011-06-06

Date on NOA: 2011-04-22

Bio. Appt. : 2011-06-24

Had to make an Info Pass appointment because there was a delay in receiving the NOA for our I-751. Never found out the reason for the delay but they gave Thao a 1 year green card stamp in her passport and we got a the NOA 2 days later.

You're not alone, they're giving me the run-around, so I'll let it sit for another 2 weeks then start with the senator's office.

Got approved !!!! Thanks you Jesus

I got there (Dallas Office in Irving) around 2 pm for the 2:15 interview

we waited maybe 1 hour 45 minutes before being called

the lady was very friendly and professional

out the bat she told us that the interview should last around 15 minutes (she was not lying)

went through the forms we had submitted, with presentation of both passports, Driver's licenses, SS cards, EAD (she did not ask for any other document)

she asked the standard questions that were already on the I 485 (that was the longuest part of the interview) plus

the spouse's name, spouse's parents names and location, date and place of birth of the spouse

she asked about my current job

then she asked about our relationship (that was very short)

she asked us to choose two pics of the wedding (one with my wife's parents) and give it to her (she did not even look at the album)

she asked us how we meet, where and when we got married

then that was it

without me asking she said "congratulations you are approved!"

she gave me the Welcome letter for new US resident

and the info for the removal of the conditional status in 2 years minus 90 days

we thanked her, got out (almost everyone else was already gone) and I took my wife to Rafain a Brazillian Steakhouse in Dallas (now my wallet feels so much lighter but so does my heart)

P.S. I also did not know that the interviewers ahd law degrees, I was expecting some underpaid clerk

she did not stamp my passport or take my EAD, she however took my I 94

a side note

My I485 never showed up online or anywhere else where I could check

My I 130 has never been update since 9/9/2008

if you are still waiting for your interview or decision, do not despair good things will happen

trust in God, He always delivers (with a bonus)

Congratulations to you both :)

i do not understand that..are some officers are able and some not??

I believe that 'new' officers are required to check it over with their boss... Possibly just an occasional retraining or performance appraisal thing too. I wouldn't worry about it. If they took your I-94, that's officially A Good Thing :)

Goldfee,

the lady who interviewed me also took my I 94 right at the beginning

she looked like she knew what she was doing and had done it for a long time (she was in her late thirties early forties)

I tend to think that it is like what Jeremy says as it heavily depends on who you get

what is encouraging in your case is that she did not point out that there was something wrong with your case

she asked a minimum of questions and did not issue a RFE or ask for additional evidence

as such, I beleive that she was not authorized to give the final approval and needs some higher up to sign on this, something that appears to be merely a formality

the point of the interview being to establish the legitimacy of the relationship,, when that is in doubt they ask a lot of questions and ask for a lot of evidence

this surely does not appear to be your case

Like I said, in two and three weeks, you will open your mail and have a broad smile

hehe thanks for ur words sander

what wonders me was that she said the I 130 is already approved....that she let out in the conversation..because she said to my husband so u applied for I 485 and I 130 ..the 130 is allready approved..and i looked and thought ahhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaa what means that now lol..but i didnt ask her...

and i gave her a lot of evidence and she asked not for more..i asked if all is ok and she said all looked good but her boss has to look over the case too

i guess also that they allready now before they interview if they approve or if they have to look more exactly on a case because they have any doubts.....i think when they took in the start the I94 the case is clear
