Girl, they can't tell me a thing. I kept copies of everything. I don't know how one week my file is there then the next week it's missing...Chicago, Baltimore or CSC don't have it according to them, so I'm tired of dealing the the 3 stooges and I'm working with the Senator's office. Now, we have the AP and EAD and they were all together, so I don't know what the hell they did. They tell me that I-485 are never transferred to CSC (even though) I know better and that all I-485 require an interview, I said really. I was like please stop reading from your manual and find someone who can help me...I just hung up.

The people who answer the phones there know nothing at all. The EAD, AP, and AOS are supposedly all separated once you send them in. Maybe in trying to track the AOS down, this could give them an idea of when (and therefore where) it went missing? I don't know.

I'm glad you are working with your senator because someone has to pressure them to fix the problem. At the very least, you should be able to send in a copy of what you originally sent and get it adjudicated ASAP without waiting again. This might be faster than trying to track it down (it surely must still be somewhere in USCIS!!). And the customer service (or disservice, as the case may be) people who answer the phone should, at the very least, be able to put you through to someone who can work on tracking down your file and/or tell you what to do to make sure it gets resolved. :ranting:

And yes, I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. It's pretty infuriating that they are so incompetent and then so cavalier about the results. Do they not get that people's lives are effected? :protest:

Okay, so I called them again a few minutes ago, just to make sure I'm not INSANE...I'm told that they do have the I-485 and that it is under going standard processing and I should call back in 180 days. I also asked if there was a note on my file that said the the I-485 was missing or not received and she said NO, it's undergoing standard processing, she also told me that my case was transferred to CSC, so I had her repeat the receipt number... I said thank and just hung up the phone and laughed. Wonder what they'll tell me in 2 weeks.

They'd probably tell you they have the sky at CSC and to call back in 6 months.

Hi Guys /Ladies

I had my Interview today and here it goes. Ok my appointment was at 2.00pm, and the weather was just terrible and we thought we were not gonna make it, thankfully we made it just in time. We went to the 3rd floor and there was only one couple in the waiting area. Before we even sat a lady walked up to us and said they were gonna be closing due to bad weather and to expect to be called in, in about 1-2 minutes. Just as she left, a man comes in and calls my name and takes us into his office. He asked my name,DOB, address, are married? then he went to ask those standard are you terrorist...questions. He then said that medical form and affidavit of support were ok. I already had my I-130 approved in 2006. He never asked my husband USC a single question and the whole interview lasted 5 minutes. He never approved us on the spot but said everything seemed ok, and will make a decision tomorrow because he had to leave due to bad weather. He happened to mention that if he approves it, i will receive 10 yr card in about 2 weeks and will be eligible to apply for citizenship in 3 yrs. He didnt take my EAD card. So what do you guys think

Sorry, I've been so focused on trying to find a job, I completely forgot to post that I received my greencard shortly after the approval email came through.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting on theirs, I hope everyone's interview goes well, too.

Someone told me somewhere on VJ that it depends on the date of your visa medical exam. If it was before Jun 1st 2008, they're supposed to take just the DS-3025 vaccination worksheet and use that. If it was on/after then you use the I-693c.

The only caveat would be is your worksheet marked as 'complete' or 'incomplete'. If it's incomplete, they may RFE you for a new supplement to prove you've had the missing jabs?

My DS-3025 is missing the varicella series and is ticked 'incomplete' but like yourself I haven't been RFE'd for it. I have a test result sheet from my Dr ready that shows I'm full of chicken pox antibodies and don't require the varicella jab. If I never get an RFE, I'll take that with me to any interview 'just in case'. If I eventually do get an RFE, I'll get it transcribed onto an I-693c, I guess...

Thanks for the info Jeremy! My medical exam was dated March 30, 2008.

Hope you can get your interview notice or maybe an approval today or next week.

Purdy_Chris -- there are two issues with the medical. One is it has to be a year or less old. Yours will be just past that when you have your interview. I don't know if that will be okay because you filed within the year and it just took them this long to get you an interview or the whole thing will need to be redone because it's 8 or 9 days over a year old.

The other issue is the DS3025 is good enough as long as they have not lost the original medical report (and I assume they would have sent you an RFE for it if they had). So unless the timing is a problem, you should be fine with what you have. We sent a copy of his DS 3025 and were approved with no RFE.

Glad you made it in and back home okay. A friend of mine in Minneapolis got sent home from work because of the snow at 1:30. He used the afternoon off to make homemade pizza, which has me thinking another trip to Mpls is very much in order.

Thanks sonoransongbird! We had blizzard here and you couldn't see the car in front of you. Driving back from the interview was way better because they had started clearing the main roads. They closed schools and events for the evenings.
