Ooh, congrats on the new job, Shining Angel!

The variation in timelines from the local offices is kind of ridiculous. Some got interviews back in November and others are just getting scheduled for April.

I was wondering about Jeraly too. Maybe she got a job?

Don't worry EricC and purdy_chris USCIS won't forget you. They should be working for all August filers now. I think it has something to do with your local office for the schedule of interview.

thanks Madelyne ! that's what I'm thinking too.

good luck to your interview!!

Purdy, that's my cousin's name also

We filed 8/13, transferred 9/10 and haven't heard a thing. USCIS has told me several different things. On Friday, they told us there's a note that the I-485 application is missing, so now what! First it was they don't have a record, now it's missing...they don't know if it's at Baltimore of CSC.

hi Trelawny :star:

Huh! they are very inconsistent! I tried calling them too and they saidthat I'm still in their timeline and told me to call back when my case is over 6 months. :bonk:

That sounds nervewracking :(

Myself, I was only transferred very recently (mid Feb) so I guess I have a while to wait.

Next question for those of us who still haven't heard anything:

Is your case 'complex'? Mine is as straightforward as any other except that (1) my Wife only makes barely over the poverty limit and (2) there's a huuuuge age gap between us (and I'm the younger one, which apparently still matters in the internet age ). This makes me wonder if they're being 'more in-depth' with our case, counting pennies and checking backgrounds and if that's why ours is taking so long?

That said, we had a run of successive 'touch days' last week so we haven't been forgotten about but it has now gone quiet again. The silence this week is more unsettling than the run of touches last week :unsure:. Maybe I'll get an interview letter in the mail in the next few days... An interview would be disappointing (given that we're at CSC) but not unexpected or worrying.

This turned into a bit of a vent, didn't it :lol:

Jeremy, I think you got delayed by an RFE and then may have gotten stuck with a s-l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w person working on your file. It is possible that they approved you as of your last touch and the system just has not updated. Your welcome letter may be on its way to you right now.

:o I wish I could say I find their level of incompetence surprising, but alas.....

Actually, losing your entire file is the worst screw up I think I have heard. That's bad even by USCIS standards. Has anyone been able to tell you ####### you are supposed to do now? Do you have a copy of all that you sent?

Girl, they can't tell me a thing. I kept copies of everything. I don't know how one week my file is there then the next week it's missing...Chicago, Baltimore or CSC don't have it according to them, so I'm tired of dealing the the 3 stooges and I'm working with the Senator's office. Now, we have the AP and EAD and they were all together, so I don't know what the hell they did. They tell me that I-485 are never transferred to CSC (even though) I know better and that all I-485 require an interview, I said really. I was like please stop reading from your manual and find someone who can help me...I just hung up.

I've seen this asked before but I am not sure what it turned out to be. It could just be the RFE, even though you already got an update for that. I say this because they updated our account on the site on January 29 saying they sent my husband a welcome letter/approval notice on January 28, which they didn't (the letter was dated the 22, as we were told in the first update, and his GC was dated January 20; it never updated to show that card production was ordered). Their system is so wonky you can't really even assume an update means they did anything at all.

You could try posting this question as an OP in the main AOS forum. I know that at least one other couple on here got that same update message.
