Hi Daniel, I am the USC (D) my husband (J) never wanted to join the forum

Our case was touched on 1/12, but so many were, and then shortly after, the processing times were updated, so I figured that all the files at all the offices were scanned to see what remained to be processed!

There were no touches after that. I expected that we would be called for an interview, as the file had been transferred to our local office, and was getting all the papers ready to review this weekend!

And thanks, shining_angel, maybe you should get your papers ready and then the card will be ordered too!

OK, Glückwunsch just meant Congratulations. My wife doesn't speak German either, but she did not want to join the forum.

For the CRIS email, approximately what time did you receive it ? I am getting all excited and frustrated at the same time, because so many 1/12 touches are getting approved, but unfortunately, mine is not amongst them. I'm checking the CRIS status several times per day and just want to minimize it by knowing approx. when those emails are sent out

Ha, yes, I figured what it meant!

The email came at 12:15 AM, so probably the daily information is uploaded at midnight and then I expect that the emails get generated automatically.

There wasn't any change in the case status online prior to the email.

Now, was your file transferred to your local office, or is it still in California?

Guys I have some news: good or bad....however it may seem.

Our interviewer was a little hard; didn't ask me a damn thing except where a photo had been taken. He asked my wife where we met, when, my birth date, name I currently use, address where we live. Then he looked at some pics, asked for the apt lease, bank accounts. Sat there and then walked us out, he was kind of puzzle how we met so I told him my father is a diplomat, he smiled.

He handed me a green envelope to send back my employment card and explained to me that we'll receive a decision within a couple of weeks. Should he need more documentation he would let me know, if not I would receive a Welcome to the USA letter. He repeated various times when I receive my GC I should mail back the I-766. By the way he took my I-94.

So I don't know exactly where I'm standing right now.

Hey Johnnie J, first of all thanks for sharing your interview experience with all of us, and second of all, you definately were approved since he took your I-94, its probably that the person who interviewed you, needed a supervisor permission to approve your case. I had the same kind of experience that you yesterday at my interview as well, the only thing was, I wasnt handed a green envelope to send back my EAD, all I was told at the end of my interview was, if we need anything from you, we will notify you by mail, that was it. Good luck and I know you will hear good news.

Awesome stuff Johnnie! The only thing i am worried about for my interview besides that we met online... is that we are living currently with my Wife's Mom and paying her rent, she wrote me an affidavit explaining it, but i simply don't know what to do if they ask for an apartment lease? My mom-in-law is also my joint sponsor. Any advice? Interview is in 1 week exactly!

Paul and I had our AOS interview yesterday in Downtown LA, went pretty well, we were well prepared with literally anything he could ask for, originals and copies of pretty much every piece of paperwork he asked for and everything we'd previously submitted. after going through that long list of "have you ever" questions, he looked through all the paper we'd passed over to him, seemed impressed with our honesty about my one day overstay back in Aug 07 and said it was no problem. He started typing away on his PC while Paul and I carried on a completely random conversation between ourselves (glanced over to our interviewer and he was smiling and nodding as he typed away) after he finished typing and printing things out he took my I-94 and EAD and passed us the approval notice to read over while he went and photocopied our wedding picture album.

felt like 15 minutes but turns out we were in there for just under an hour, we were told to expect my Green card in the mail withing 90 days and to remember to remove conditions and finally welcome to the USA :D
