Hello everyone,

Guess what? I got back from my long holiday vacation this Monday and I had a letter in the mail asking me to go back to the immigration office today at 7:00 am. Simple letter (form G-56) it is a call in notice to review my application process. I mailed the RFE from the original interview on the 22 of December and the officer replied back on the 2 of January.

And today .. he approved it!!! I am sooooo happy.:dance:

The officer was in a completely different mood from last time. He was even smiling and chatting with us. He asked me for our passports, travel documents, and ID. Then asked if anything had changed from last time and what we had done for Christmas. We said that we brought more pictures from New Year's if he wanted to see. He looked through them and asked who my dad was and how was our New Year's.

Then he asked me some standard questions and stamped my passport. Said the stamp is good to work and travel and that it was the temporary green card. Original card should be in the mail within 30 days. Then he explained that because we were married for only 7 months we have to file for removal of conditions in October 2010.

That was it!! My husband and I are soooo happy ..

Thank God .. it was a very blessed day for me today.

Thank you guys for all your encouragement and support throughout my journey with AOS. You guys are the best!!

Good luck to you all and have faith .. Everything will work out .. It is a New Year and lots of new blessings to come in your lives.

Health:

We were refered to a specialist about Charry's leg. She has an issue with her achilies tendon and it is really tight. A result is that she can not stand flat on that foot. To compensate she wears 3" heals almost all the time, which is not good. While the doc was looking at her leg, ankle, and foot he did some xrays of both lets all the way to her hips to see why one leg was shorter than the other. The hip shot got almost all of her chest in it, and we found out that she has Scoliosis. I rechecked her chest xray from her medical in the Philippines and I can just barely see it. The chest xray is looking for other things so there is a void in the middle of her chest where the xrays did not penetrate her body fully but on the side of the void you can just barely see her spine. WE did not notice it until after seeing the new ones the doctor took.

Ss a result of this her hips are a not straight? Even? So one hip socket is higher than the other. So, we are not going to do anything about her foot right now so we can see what can be done about her back and hips. This is 2 fold: 1. We want to have children someday and we are not sure what having her hips out of allignment like this would do to that possibility yet. And 2. If we have her back and hips fixed it will make her legs the same length and will probably have some impact on the ankle issues. It might even releave some tension on the tendon.

Wow, that's some definite good luck to catch the scoliosis. If you have her back worked on, it will undoubtedly relieve pressure on her legs/feet. It's amazing how back problems can mess up so many other aspects of our lives!

Good luck!

GFL - I am soooo glad for you!!!

I have just been putting together the paperwork and short of not being able to find our original marriage certificate (:o )I have a few queries/worries:

* Government ID - I still don't have US ID so I am guessing that my passport and marriage cert (when we find it!!!) will be ok?

* Sealed I-693 - I never submitted this with the application - only the DS3025 (or whatever it was). Do I need to get the I-693 anyway or will the DS3025 on its own be ok?

* All documentation establishing eligibility blah blah blah - I am guessing the original AOS package we sent?

I think that is it - my main concern is the medical stuff really - I don't want to get denied on the principle that we don't have a form that says exactly the same as another form that we already submitted!!!

Good luck!

We may have jumped the gun on this.

Further investigation at home :innocent::whistle: shows that she has no back curvature. The xrays were taken without her shoes on and she was trying to compensate and stand straight. To do that she had to rotate her hips to make it looks like she was standing straight which is what offset everything and made it look like her spine was curved and that her hips were out of allignment.

Going to contact the doctor to request another visit to continue discussions on the food and to inform him of our findings. Redoing the xrays with her in heels or laying down should show the truth. Her chest xday does NOT have any curvature to her spine in it as she was standing with her shoes on for it.

I feel like I'm back at k1 again, constantly checking USCIS for updates. I wasn't too bothered and only checked once a week until we got the touch. Now it's about once every hour or 2.

We are not that bad. I check once in the morning and once at night.

At last, a touch for my AOS...im getting tired of applying for job. anyone here wants to hire me for a job?

Girl, I feel the same way here regarding work.. You'll get your card soon .. maybe without an interview!

here is still nothing..no letter and no update:-((

Thank you my friend.

I guess he was just having a really bad day that day and I happened to be his victim. But this past Friday the second time around .. he was completely different. A whole different attitude .. very nice.. polite.. and smiling. He said I gave him everything he needed and more. I gave him all our bank statements.. even from before we got married. Also credit card statements and the letters he asked. Now for the letters he asked.. I gave him one written by the lady at our rental office. She noted on the letter that she is knowledgeable of our marriage and that when she first took our rental application we were still engaged. We also sent a letter from our next door neighbor who happens to be a county sheriff from where we live. So I think that definitely helped. He asked for a minimum of 3 letters and we sent in 4. All from people who were not related to us.

You will get your letter when you least expect .. I promise you.

GFL - I am soooo glad for you!!!

I have just been putting together the paperwork and short of not being able to find our original marriage certificate (:o )I have a few queries/worries:

Thanks Jeraly.

Did you consider getting another original marriage certificate from the county?

* Government ID - your passport is fine. Make sure it is valid though. Also bring your work permit, they will take it from you along with your travel documents (AP and I-94).

* Sealed I-693 - I am not sure what the DS3025 is, but I would still have the sealed exam with you. The officer that did my interview looked at my exam form and even the envelope was attached to his file. You should have a copy of the exam from your doctor.. ?

* The docs establishing eligibility - bring everything. I mean really everything you guys have together. Also definitely ..do not forget the bank statements and credit card statements. Make sure the bank statements show that you guys share financial responsibility .. paying rent, car, insurance.. etc. That's what my officer was asking from me on my first interview.

Don't forget your husband's passport/birth certificate.

Good luck with everything and don't be nervous. It depends a lot on the person.

welcome to the US letter arrived yesterday :)
