UPDATE:

We decided to file the Replacement EAD application. We mailed it out via Fed Ex on Friday and the package was recieved yesterday 1/12 at VSC.

Our AOS had not been touched since September but yesterday, after FOUR MONTHS of checking my case status online our AOS was FINALLY touched! I hope it's a good sign. I am seeing other AOS touches around/on the same date as me.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with our EAD Replacement App, or if someone is actually working on the case.

Keeping our fingers crossed.

Mine was also "touched" yesterday as well. It was sitting "untouched" since November 17 2008. I really hope something is starting to happen. I'm getting sick of this stupid waiting bullcrap.

That makes 8 August filers who were touched yesterday (Mariposita, Zee, us, SMB, JeremyR, Weedebz, aappllee, and Katz). I've checked our status on line way more than I really should today and it hasn't change and there is no touch today. I was really hoping to have an excuse to go out for dinner tonight to celebrate.

Piling on, Jan's was touched yesterday too. Nothing since 10/07, and had been transferred for standard processing, so maybe we will finally get an interview letter.

I wish they would update the field office processing dates...

Were you transferred to CSC? If so, you most likely will not have an interview (they would transfer you back to the local office from CSC if they decided one were necessary, and that is very unlikely).

No, we were transferred to CSC (sensation!), and then, a few days later, transferred to the local office for standard processing. Oh well. Pittsburgh probably needs the practice.

Sounds like people are getting close!! Good luck to everyone, I hope this week is a good one for approvals!

On our end, we have not been so lucky at being able to put the AOS to use. No job, no trips out of the country. I am so glad that my husband is so darn patient, but sending out resumes, getting interviews (or not), and not getting the job seems to be getting old. I know that we are really blessed to already have the GC, it just seems like there are still further hurdles to get passed. So yeah, it isn't done yet......

I am the one who is divorced (USC...so English divorce decree) but they did ask me to bring it to the AOS interview. I would go ahead and translate it, Goldfee, just to be on the safe side. You don't want to get to your interview and find out you needed it.

Also, we FINALLY got the email that the green card was ordered. Should be here within a couple of weeks. Wasn't a big deal as we had the passport stamp, but we haven't had any notice since 12/10 so it's nice to know it's on it's way.

It was requested on our interview letter. We weren't asked for my divorce decree when we applied for our marriage license either, but you definitely have to show it for AOS.

You can have someone fluent in both languages translate it and fill out a certification (check the guides here, I'm sure it's listed somewhere what needs to be written). You can try a college or high school that has a German teacher...
