It didn't disappear from the website, its never been there from the start. Same with the EAD until I got it.

Hi! I recevied an email from CRIS!!! EAD has been ordered!!! Finally!! That was a long wait.... lol!! However I am leaving the country in 2 days. I am going home for a month with my hubby. I have my AP document however I do not think the EAD will makeit on time. Will it be an issue if I do not have it with me when I come back to the US???

The last update for my AOS was october 6th and said that I should receive a written update with in 60 days after that date but it has been 90 days and has not received any update yet, I am thinking my letter was lost now or I DONT KNOW.

i assume there is standing anything like"u should expect a written decision or written update in the next 60 days until fingerprints or an interview wich is part of this case have not been completed yet"

when yes then its the same like in my case..i called INS and they told me read right..60 days UNLESS fingerprints or an interview......

Hi Everyone! I am new here.

I filed my AOS/AP/EAD in August 2008. Currently our AOS is Pending at CSC. OUr AOS was last updated in September and our case has not been touched since.

OUr EAD was approved, sent, but we never recieved it. Nether USCIS or our postal carrier had it. So we were told it had to have been lost or stolen in the mail, and that we had to pay $340 and file a Replacement EAD application, to replace an EAD we never got in the first place.

Yeah - I am a bit nervous about mine as well - I haven't looked at what I need to bring yet as I figure that I don't want to stress myself out too soon!!!

Prep = preparation

And it should be no problem if you have no EAD when re-entering the USA - you should only need your passport and AP - maybe your marriage certificate if your passport is in your maiden name... but defo not EAD

Can they really do that? If it never turned up and you had given them your correct address, it's not your error so you shouldn't be liable for the re-issue fee...

Apparently so.

I called and explained the situation 4 times until I finally spoke to a supervisor. They had my correct adress on file. And we know our mailman very well. So it's just all very fishy. We have gotten every single other corresponce from USCIS without a problem.

The problem also is that USCIS uses regular mail...so there is absolutely no way to track the document.

8/1/2008: filed for i765/i485/i131

8/4/2008: got i767 for all three

8/20/2008: biometrics taken (finger print and photo)

10/1/2008: i131 approval notice sent on uscis website

10/1/2008: card production ordered for i765

10/6/2008: i131arrived in mail

10/9/2008: i765 arrived in mail

10/27/2008: initial interview letter notice

11/21/2008: interview date.

11/21/2008: REQUEST OF ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT AT USCIS WEBSITE (MY ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE)

12/1/2008 : DOCUMENT SENT TO LOCAL USCIS OFFICE AT HOUSTON, TX

12/18/2008 : CARD ORDER PRODUCTION

12/23/2008:TOUCHED ONE MORE TIME CARD ORDER PRODUCTION

12/30/2008: CARD IN MAIL

DO I HAVE TO GO TO S.S OFFICE AND MADE A NEW S.S? I KNOW THE NUMBER IS GOING TO BE SAME, BUT TO REMOVE THE RESTRICTION. WHAT DO U GUYS THINK? WHAT SHOULD I DO?
