First of all, the fact that the computer shows no touch doesn't really mean anything---sometimes it updates, sometimes not. Second, I believe the AP and EAD are processed separately, so yeah, they could approve the AP and then a few days later work on the AP.

You will probably get it soon. For most people they seem to be pretty close in time.

Hey! Even if I have recevied an RFE for my I-485 can my EAD be approved or is this delaying my case?? And if I recieved an RFE for the I - 485 will my time frame for the EAD start all over again???

THANKS FOR THE INFO!!!

Sorry--I had a brainfart and did not notice you mentioned getting an RFE.

Unfortunately, yes, an RFE will delay AP and EAD as well as AOS. But that doe s NOT mean that your time frame starts over again from the beginning---they will resume processing once they have the response to the RFE. Your AP was not delayed, obviously, and it is possible that your EAD has been approved already (before the RFE) and the system just did not update.

Thanks again!! Hopefully they were both approved before the rfe... (fingers crossed !! lol)

Had interview today. Lasted about 30 minutes. Lots of questions about joint finances, ethnicity differences (rare combo) mostly stereotypical questions, family acceptance and resistance to marriage, plans for kids, food habits, how we met, when we decided to get married, who and how many attended the wedding, where we work, did we buy house, where did we go for honeymoon. Asked to show documents of joint finances, bank accounts, insurance, pictures. In the end, officer mentioned to review the application later and if questions will send letter or if approved will receive GC in a month or so. Officer didn't take any documents from us, wrote lots of notes on a plain sheet of paper.

Congrats to everyone on their news. Sounds like lots of movement. Congrats to those who have gotten GC, EAD, AP, and interview lettesr....and GFL...it will work out!!

So, here is our story. GC came in the mail today, which was just a little too good to be true. I didn't really think that we would be done with immigration this soon, and well, we might not be.....So, the card came without my husband's two last names. It only has his first one. This is the same thing that we thought we had fixed during the biometrics appointment, and then again during an hour long conversation with USCIS. And what really bums me out is that both the EAD and AP DID in fact get fixed....so why not the GC??? (rhetorical)

So anyone want to take a guess at what the risks would be for us having him use the GC as is?? The names that are listed are all correct, all in order, all written correctly....just missing his second last name. I should say that his SSC does have all 4 names listed.....

booo.....any ideas??
