11/01/2008--- Sent I-693 RFE And crossing my fingers.

11/26/2008--- EAD - Card production ordered.

11/26/2008--- AP Approval notice sent and got AP (WITH A TYPO!!!).

12/01/2008--- Got EAD and applied for SSN.

12/03/2008--- Waiting for the eternal SSN.

12/05/2008---Interview letter arrived.

We got the 'Welcome to America' letter last night. We are hoping the GC arrives soon. We have a trip to the UK and plan on leaving on 12/22. We were approved for AP but I guess it's useless now that we've been approved for the GC. Any idea what happens if we don't get the GC by December 22nd?

Good question. I've been wondering same thing. What if my GC get's approved while being out of country? I think it should not be such a problem and AP will still work. I would say, bring your I-485 NOA with you. That at least tells them that you were the one applying for the GC.

O by the way, last week in Atlanta they picked me out for closer inspection since I got in through AP. It looked a bit scarry since it was like they were really looking for something giving me the impression something was wrong. Afterall it turned out they just wanted to check some personal information verifying I was the right person. I notice more and more that it is very convenient to know the last four digits of your SSN by heart.

I've read on another site that this is not a good idea. Please, please make sure you talk to the right people before you proceed.

I've been paroled into the US just fine but my GC is still not approved so that's why. Can you tell where you read the information that tells you it is not a good idea to enter the US on AP while GC is just approved?

I was hoping I would get my intertiew letter this week...so I made and info pass for Friday.

I also scheduled InfoPass appointment for this Friday, however I'm not sure is they are going to be able to help me. My only issue is that I've moved to a different apartment since I submitted all the paperwork, but they keep sending everything to my old address (like my EAD) even though I've let them know my new address. So I guess I'm just desperate to get my GC and willing to waist some immigration officer's time to see if I could get some more information about it.

They also require some Service Request ID Number. Any idea what that is?

I read it on ***removed***. There are some great people on that site that can give you advise on this, mainly PreatorianX. You can visit the site and see what advise is given.

johnnie u waste ur time with an infopass appointment because u are still like me in the timeframe from 180 days...i called USCI yesterday and they told me that also wenn the interview or transfer is in january iam still in time ..i can complain when the 18 february past and nothing happen until then
