Patrick got the job!!!!!

Yay! Full benefits, including company-paid insurance for our entire family and a free yearly bus pass!

Ironically, I've been teaching here for 10 years with an MA and here he is, in this country for 3 months and he gets a job making way more than I make!

Of course I'm benefiting from it :)

Yay. Now we have the AOS interview on December 10th.

Is it just me or does it seem like AOS stuff takes much less time than K1 did? I feel like we waited for years....

wunderbar! congratulations!!!

so... next, the German wedding

I was starting to get jealous of everyone getting their interview lettesr, wondering if it would have actually been a blessing to not have been transfered to CSC. But, knowing that LizC was approved gives me some hope again....

I think they may have adjudicated Liz's based on the original receipt date and not treated her as a mid-August filer. I don't know that for a fact, but that seemed to be the experience most people who had to re-send their I-129F petitions had (not that they actually get to them strictly in order anyway). But the 7/23 original file date is only a week earlier than some of the earliest people in this thread, so that is very encouraging to the rest of us as well!

I was starting to wonder if getting transferred was less of a blessing than originally thought also. It's the nature of this process to feel like you're stumbling around in the dark not knowing when or if they are going to approve you for each step, I guess.

Jundp, congrats to Patrik for the job!

Congrats as well to link for the EAD and PMD for the interview letter.

hey

iam new here and have some questions....

after i sent my RFE back( they want my birthcertificat again) the LUD is this ( LUD was on 18 september )

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On September 18, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

now the 60 days are over and there is still no update or letter from the USCI...

is that right that when ur case is at the NBC that u have expect an interview or can the NBC also approve AOS or transfer the case?

and wich service center is the right one for my case because the texas service center has no I 130 so is for me ( i live in texas ) the vermont or california center the right one...or does the NBC finished my case??

thanks for help

I, too, had an RFE, and yesterday I received the interview letter from the NBC. It's scheduled for Jan 12 at a local office near my residence.

My case would not be transferred, because I was not a K-1 case. Since you're over 60 days since the RFE resumed, you may want to schedule an InfoPass or call customer service to check on the status. Or, my guess is that the interview letter is in the mail, and you should be receiving it shortly! (My online status did NOT show that the interview has been scheduled, I just got the letter in the mail.)

Yeah, to me that sounds like plenty of evidence. You have several different types of evidence. I wouldn't worry about not having many pictures aside from the wedding pictures. A lot of people don't. We have very few pictures together. In part, it's because my husband does not like being in pictures either (and I'm the photographer in the family), and in part it's just because if one of us is taking the photo, only the other one can be in the picture!

AOS approved yesterday in NYC :dance::dance:

We had our interview scheduled at 1:45 pm. we got there around 1 and we got in a few minutes earlier, and the interview was less than 10 minutes. We got sworn in, we were interviewed by 2 guys, for some reason ( my husband thinks one was a trainee) .The first questions were if any of us was married before or had any kids. They asked us for the marriage certificate and my hubby's birth certificate, I offered mine to, although I only had the notarized copy and they said I needed the original. They asked for pics first of all. they really liked our album, I out there pics in chronological order since we started dating until our honeymoon. They started to pull pics out and staple them in their file. Then they asked how we met, asked my husband what was i doing at the time, if i went to school here, asked me if he went to school. Asked us where we traveled since we met , I offered to show them travel receipts but they said it's ok.I was asked all the "no" questions and then our phone no and adress. it was very relaxed and I felt confortable to make some jokes and then they handed me the piece of paper that says I am a conditional rtesident and that i have to remove the condition. and then they stamped my passport and I was good to go. It was an awesome experience , we were prepared for much worse, we had a case full of evidence, they didn't looka at anything.

That was our story, hope everyone else has an easy interview.
