I think if one of us gets an RFE for medical stuff then there will be lots more to follow.

I'm sat here staring at the stuff I KNOW I'll be getting RFE for. Can't believe I forgot to put w2's in envelope :wacko::oops:

07/09/2007 - NOA1 (hard copy 07/11/2007)

11/13/2007 - NOA2...127days after filing (hard copy 11/17/07)

12/22/2007 - packet 3 rec. (12/28/2007 returned)

01/11/2008 - medical (allergic to tetanus shot, requirement waived)

02/05/2008 - interview @ 10am - APPROVED!!!!!!

03/12/2008 - Flying Glasgow - Dublin - Chicago - Omaha

05/31/2008 - WEDDING

AOS

07/31/2008 - AOS and EAD finally mailed

08/02/2008 - Delivered

08/08/2008 - Check cleared

08/11/2008 - NOA1's for AOS and EAD recieved (reciept date 08/07/2008)

08/16/2008 - Biometrics letter recieved

09/09/2008 - Biometrics at 1pm, Omaha

09/26/2008 - AOS transferred to CSC

09/29/2008 - AOS touched (took out envelope at CSC and put in new pile)

10/03/2008 - AOS touched (probably that RFE coming soon!!!!)

10/06/2008 - AOS touched AGAIN!!! (surely it's an RFE)

10/15/2008 - EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!YEY!!!

10/27/2008 - EAD IN HAND

01/12/2009 - AOS touched

01/26/2009 - Email from CRIS. GREENCARD PRODUCTION ORDERED..YIPPPPEEE

Ack - ok so he wasn't home on time today - booo!!!

Any idea who the cheque is made payable to? Is it just USCIS or...?

US Citizenship and Immigration Services... check out the directions for the I-485, they were really specific about this one...

We got our NOA1s for AOS, EAD and AP on Monday, I think... dated 8/11/08! :)

Yay! Gratzies!! Just writing the cheque out now so fingers crossed, tomorrow will be the day :D

Whew, hoped you listened to the other person and not me. Ha ha! :) Sorry, I had to go back and look at my checkbook because I knew it looked weird...

I am just glad I checked again as I actually listened to you :bonk::lol: It's fine though - We are looking at filing it tomorrow so I just made Jeremy change the check :D Pretty funny though :lol: Of course, had we already sent it, I might not have found it all so funny :unsure::lol:

Do you want the good news or the not-so-good news?

We will start with the good news-Got the Biometrics letter today. Scheduled for Sept 4, so not too bad.

Not as good news-Got a letter from the Social Security Office (after almost 9 weeks of processing....yes, we filed for the card on June 20), that they would not be able to process my husbands request for a Social Security Card because his I-94 would be expired by the time they got to it. So, I guess we will be waiting until EAD to try applying again. I really hope that it does not take as long to get around to processing it...As I understand it he will not be able to work unitl he has both EAD AND SSN (is that correct??)

That really sucks! Why is it taking so long? You did wait two weeks after POE didn't you? I know if they do things manually it can take a lot longer - I made sure to mention when I applied for mine that if I wasn't in the system that I would come back...

On that note though, we got my bank account and SSC put into my married name yesterday and also got me on Jeremy's insurance through work as well - it was all so easy I felt like we were missing something - in fact the clerk at the bank had to actually confirm it was all ok and we were good to go!! I guess all the USCIS paperwork just makes me feel like everything should be as long-winded and complicated :lol:

Glad to see this thread picking up anyway - am used to the July 2007 K-1 crowd and we were/are a rowdy bunch ;)

I expected a fight at SS too and sent all the back up paperwork for them to look at. They didn't need anything. They pulled his name up and did everything in a matter of minutes. It all took about 10 minutes and the card arrived in about two weeks. I was in awe at how easy it all was. When we went to the bank though, they couldn't pull him up with the ss# and said maybe it's so new that it wasn't registering yet. Since we had the card with us, they did something manually and just finished the banking set up and that was it. Easy as pie!

Received AP: 11/17/2008

Received EAD: 11/22/08 (Praise God!!)

AOS RFE: 1/29/2009

AOS Approved: 3/24/2009

Called USCIS 4/1/2009 told no status change and case not yet reviewed from RFE request.

Received green card: 4/3/2009

You're not alone. I think it takes a few weeks. I may be wrong.

Visa I 130 for Step Daughter

Sept 2010-- Getting documents ready. sent BC out for translation.

March 1st 2012-- Sent documents to USCIS

June 15th 2012 EMAIL OF APPROVAL !!

Dec 15th 2012 -- Interview scheduled ( 1-23-2013)

Jan 9th 2013--Medical Exam

Hi all!

We are now Aug filers, too!

A couple quick questions......

further to the last couple posts....are you talking about including w2's with copy of last years Tax filing? where does it say that w2's are needed as well?

...and - has anyone had (or heard of) more problems with the I-765 application for EAD form expiring soon (as someone noted earlier)??

:lol: I'm not staring at the stuff I am expecting to get RFEs for because we don't have it :D I just love the feeling of not caring though!! It is great!
