No, the paranois is reading something like this and fearing that it might happen to you too. Statistically, it won't.

Statistics are irrelevant in this case. But it did happen to someone. The chance of two planes being flown into skyscrapers is extremely low. Almost ridiculous to mention prior to 9/11 but the reality is 2,500 people are dead.

What I would like to know is what triggers / causes someone to think of and carry out something like that. I am sure if Canada is anything like AUS and the UK, they will pat him on the head and want to talk about his childhood; Rather than torture him.

Carry out medical tests on him, while conscious, for all I care. This animal should never ever be released and should spend his last days being tortured.

I think its a given that he won't be released (do you honestly believe otherwise?) - and I would imagine he would more than likely be subject to psychological evaluations to determine his "problem". But I rather doubt they will torture the guy.

He will undergo a psych exam - and likely be diagnosed with some form of mental illness, and be locked away in a mental facility for some time. They'll have to determine if he's fit for trial, then whether he was criminally insane. I mean - unless he was under the influence of a super heavy narcotic there is no way that he could have done this without being total nutso.

Canadians don't like torture - we like slow underhanded, passive aggressive actions - not overt gestures of aggression. ;)

I will never step foot in a greyhound bus ever after reading this story. They should make a horror movie out of it.

As a victim of multiple coast to coast Greyhound trips (poor college student I was) I can tell you that just dealing with some of their employees is horror enough. Add some of the passengers into the mix and you have a blockbuster.

I never rode the school bus except a few times for field trips, I never rode on a greyhound, I only rode a city bus 5-10 times when living in England. I'm not a bus person.

You haven't really experienced America until you have rode on a Greyhound for at least 1000 miles. It should be a requirement for citizenship.

Canada... need we say more?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt
