I have posted before about what I should do. I from the sugestion I had my Senator do an inquiry on my case and here was there reply to the Senator:

The applicant was interviewed by a consular officer on December 20, 2007. Due to certain issues which were unresolved during the visa interview, we had to undertake further administrative processing on the case.

Consular officers need to be reasonably satisfied that all identity and relationship issues have been addressed before a final determination is made regarding visa issuance.

As soon as the review is completed, we will contact the applicant to resume processing the visa application

So as of now we both have sent letters and used there webmail to the consular office in general. I still never get reply from the embassy. I keep asking want if anything do they want us to do but still no reply. I also call the embassy and the the operators tell me the same thing "case under review".

So I want to send letters to the following people William W. Lesh, Immigrant Visa Deputy Chief and Dr. Lawrence Mire, Immigrant Visa Chief.

Has anyone heard of a case being under review for so long?

Is this a good or bad idea to send letters to the Immigrant Visa Chief and Immigrant Visa Deputy Chief?

Thank you to anyone who could help.

Gawd, I am sorry I dont have any suggestions for you. This sounds like a horrible situation. I cant believe they would do this to you. We have been under review for only three weeks and the waiting is hard enough, I could not imagine having to wait 7 months. Do you have an attorney? If you dont, I would suggest you get one, although from what I have been reading even and attorney can not get any answers either. I think if I was in your situation I would prefer they just deny the petition so I could appeal it and get them to the table to explain why. Good luck with your endeavor. I hope you can get your visa or at least some answers soon.

I know a couple from Florida who also waited a long time ( 5 months ) to get a visa. She actually came from my city and was interviewed a day after me ( September 12, 2007 ) However, she only got her visa February this year. Her unmarried surname ( she is not a muslim) is the same with the surname of one of the leaders of the most wanted terrorist groups operating in the Philippines and for this , the US government had to go through getting clearances from middle east countries to make sure she is not related to this wanted person. The US fiance had his senator and congressman involved in the process but really couldn't do anything to expedite the visa release because it was all about security reasons.

She is now in jacksonville Florida. So just hang in there. Her visa will be released soon. Its just a matter of time.
