Medical Record is it really needed????

Hi !!!

I had a major operation 12 years ago (appendixitis) and i dont have medical record nor certificate for it..I went to the hospital and request for it they said they can't find it anymore...I dont even have medical records and or vaccination records for me and my son..Will this cause problems with our medical??

the vaccination record for you son is not a problem, he will just need to repeat some of the vaccines he had previously received pero ok lang naman.. as for appendicitis operation, di naman siguro major problem yon kahit walang record, just inform the doctor when she gets your medical history.

I have the same situation as yours. I had a major operation 12 years prior to my med exam at SLEC. I was not able to provide the medical certificate or records, but it was okay. Just tell the doctor upfront when he/she asked. BTW,I passed the med exam. As for the vaccination records, it would be good to have one, but if you can not provide, it's okay. How old is your son? Some vaccines have 1 - 5 years effectivity. The only disadvantage is - SLEC will administer the vaccines again. I am sure, your son will not like it.Of course not all of it will be done in one day. More likely, they will require you to finish the immunization requirements before you can apply for AOS in the states. This will be noted in the immunization record that they will give you. Vaccines in the US can be expensive.
