I did James' shortcuts for the DS-3032 because it looked like it was taking about 10 days for them to process the emails. I'm figuring I can save a few days if I overnight the hardcopy. I had my wife send the emailed DS-3032 also, so which ever they get first is OK, it's the same info anyway.

For the the barcode, you'll have to go back into the wiki history, but it also had instructions for creating the barcode (code, size, height, etc.) When you print it out it's actually a small barcode that is not the whole length of the box in the form. So, I put the barcode to the right side of the box and then wrote the case number next to that. I think that is just in case their barcode scanner can't read it. Check out the picture below for a sample. Hope it helps.

My "case complete" at NVC was delayed by a week or so because of confusion over my on-line payment. I have been suggesting that people include in your DS-230 package a copy of the receipt that is available for printing on the State Dept website (CEAC) after the payment is processed. The button to print the receipt is close to the button to print the barcode sheet. You might also print a copy of your bank account transaction record from your bank's website. This will at least signal to the person who is reviewing your DS-230 package that you are asserting that you've already paid. Perhaps if they see this, they won't generate an RFE for the IV fee as they did in my case. Still, even with the RFE, much faster than the alternate route.
