Hi All,

I had K1 visa interview today and it got approved, though not with the best of experience.

It almost seemed that the consular would turn down as she kept grimacing. But, lastly

she saw something and nodded her head a couple of times and cut me short saying

visa approved and good luck.

It was a bit long interview and she drilled me but all is well that ends well.

BTW, what is the content of visa packet which should not be opened, I remember seeing it here ..

PS. This site solely helped me in procuring the K1 visa. My fiancee is v happy.

What did she ask?

She was asking and asking ! She asked her email id - that was fine. Where she lived in India and where we traveled.

I am Hindu and she is Christian (white american). Now, I am not religious and we never discuss religion. I was asked

what church she goes ? I was wondering if that means whether she is catholic or protestant. But, my fiancee told me

that she does not like the priest and does not go to church anymore. Of course, I cannot tell the consular such stuff.

I think she wanted to know how we going to raise children ? !!

Where did she go for her college ? She did in her home town and I did not remember the college but I remember her "major" subject. The bad thing is that the atmosphere was negative and my heart was sinking. She saw some name in the emails and asked about her ? She could have asked about my fiancee siblings or her parents but how am I supposed to remember all those names in her emails. It seemed the questioning would never end. Where she lives ? Alone ? where are her parents ? Tell me your wedding plans ? What do you guys talk about ?

She asked for more photos - I gave it to her. She hardly looked at it. had i not given it to her, that would again have been an issue. She kept on saying give me more proof of relationship.

suddenly, she saw something in those papers and kept on nodding her head a couple of times and cut me short by saying I am approving your visa, Good Luck !

It was a long one ! I thank GOD that I sailed through ! :)
